3/5Pretty good. Feedback below
When selecting a daily, weekly, or monthly goal I must also select a home screen icon for them. You should not require goals to be placed on the Home Screen. These goal percentages show up already under the Stats section. Make having a Home Screen tile for a goal optional. Not every metric needs a goal, for example Resting Heart Rate. Yes I want this set to Active so I can see my data in the Stats section but I don’t have a “goal” for my daily resting heart rate that’s weird. You should allow data like RHR to show in Stats but not have a goal attached. Also, bring over sleep stages (rem, deep sleep etc.) from Apple Health. Alternatively and lastly a better home screen design would be to include up to three Today’s Goals at the top in a ring shape, underneath that the Stats section but rename this to Trends showing up to five trends and underneath that the Workouts section showing the last three workouts as it does already. Then have tabs for Goals (all daily, weekly, and monthly goals are visible here), another tab for all Trends and another for all Workouts. BOOM 💥 You’re welcome.

5/5Wanted to like this app
…and in some ways I do. I’m currently on the last day of a free trial and will cancel today. It’s comprehensive and I like the look and customization of the widgets, but they don’t update consistently. Some days/times, they update every 20 minutes; so days/times they update hourly; other days/times they don’t update at all until you open the app. What’s the point of glanceable information if it’s inaccurate? Yes, I’ve tried all of the tricks to get the widgets to update. This is the exact reason I cancelled my Healthview subscription: the widgets break and stop updating the information from the Apple Health app and Apple is too stupid to create their own health widgets.

3/5I want to like it…
Great potential!! This apps tracks everything, as long as you spend your life as a scribe inputting the info. Unless you have the watch, I do not cannot wear smart watches at work. I’m a Samsung convert, and really sad Apple is only attaching its fitness app to its watch. This app literally is a notebook, you enter data to include, how many calories did your workout just burn? How the F do I know? Isn’t that what an app should calculate for me? It doesn’t even track my steps. Apple fitness only tracks my steps no workouts or anything else, unless again unless have the watch. BTW they want me to buy this app, are you kidding?!? I give it 3 because if it works for you great, I want the automation to work for me, not the other way around.

1/5Doesn’t work like I thought it would.
- The original application on my watch when I first got it was perfect. It all of a sudden disappeared and now I have exercise programs that don’t seem to suit my needs. I cycle in my fitness room and I would just like all of the information as a result of that cycling heart rate, calories and whatever else would go with that. I don’t seem to get that on this program yet maybe I don’t know how to use it but there oughta be some instructions that cover these things. I use a stationary bike in my fitness room for 30 minutes every day and I used to get information on just about everything applying to that and now I get nothing! So I think the application app is not at all useful! all on my Apple Watch as well as my iPhone. Now I get hardly anything on my watch! The only data I get on my watch now is when I walk down to the fitness room. So it shows two minutes, but it doesn’t show anything about my workout on the stationary bike! It only shows strength training and I don’t do strength training. I do cycling on a stationary bike.

3/5Lack of most useful metric views or groups
I expected this app to fill the void Apple Fitness Trends and Summaries leaves to users. But Fitness View doesn’t seem to fulfill that gap either. One example: My running group and I would like to see a simple view that is easy to find the total running or hiking distance per time period with total elevation gain. As it is now elevation gain seems to be a unrepresented totaled metric. Also not clear if “running + walking distance” includes “Hiking”. Being able to pair multiple exercise metrics into a time range view would be great. examples : Running + Hiking Distance with Elevation gain over a week/month/year Biking distance + elevation gain over week/month/year Biking + Running distance + elevation gain over week/month/year Also, there is no group/team metric view, that is really disappointing one of the biggest missing data points with Apple Watch/Fitness is even when “Competing” it is only based on Ring closures as opposed to more goal/metric based numbers such as a group goals. For example a group goal to individually run 200 miles a month and see how everyone is doing in near real time. Or to bike 30K elevation gain in a month. As it is now that can only be done partially through Strava/Fitness and adding up each individual session manually. App has potential but really just a slightly more in depth Apple fitness app. Also the widgets never get created and my app always crashes (on latest iOS). Happy to re-review after updates or speak to developers more. Had high hopes for app even with premium version it disappoints still.
