2/5Extremely slow
The app looks nice and is aesthetically pleasing, but that’s about all it’s got going for it. I usually order in person, but this time I used the app ahead of time thinking it would be ready by the time I got there, or within 5 minutes of arrival. I ordered a different drink this time because they didn’t update the menu to include the new seasonal drink I wanted. After ordering I closed the app, but that’s where my problems started. I was waiting in the store for 20 minutes confused on why my drink was not ready. I had no way to check in with the employees either because I didn’t have any way to access my order history. AFTER 20 MINUTES, I got an email confirmation saying they got my order. 20 minutes!!! It should be less than 10 seconds to process an order!! After receiving the email, they took another 10 minutes to make my drink. Entirely unpleasant and tedious process. Don’t use the app to order ahead

1/5You Need New Decision Makers
For a wonderful food & beverage company, it is so disheartening to see the cause of its downfall being an app that only needed rearrangements and minor updates. I don’t know which company shareholder or major spokesperson decided an entirely new rework needed to be done, but it was clearly a misguided and/or rushed job. I used to be a VIP and would visit 85°C whenever I could; nowadays, I don’t buy unless I truly miss the drinks and food. This company is lucky that no other major company thought to strike up a challenge in the same field. Your programmers were either entirely incompetent or more than overworked in a time crunch, your decision makers pushed out a product that turned off a major part of your target audience, and many don’t have an incentive to shop at 85°C anymore because of how awful the app is. Please rework the app again with more time allocated to your programmers—WITH better programmers—all while keeping your audience in mind.

5/5Regulars
My service dog and I are regulars at this bakery! We come every 1-2 weeks and have been for months! It’s my favourite bakery in San Antonio. Everyone is always pleasant, polite, and kind. The app has worked fine for me thus far (knock on wood). Only 1 time was it having issues logging me in about 2 weeks ago. Seemed like a bug. I was however able to open it when I arrived to the bakery thankfully to get my points. I have not tried ordering on the app, I prefer to pick my pastries myself. I’ve only used the app to scan in store for my points, or use my receipt to get my points if I forgot to scan.

1/5Terrible
I have been collecting points with my 85c app for over a year and became VIP. Now when i try logging in to the new app it says that my log in credentials do not exist. Meaning all the points we have accumulated over time are now no longer existent! I tried creating a new account with the same credentials in hope that it would bring me back to my old account information along with my points… and it say account is already existent! How??!??! It is really upsetting and to see this many bad reviews?? There was no warning of the update occurring and when I went to go open my app, everything was gone. There should be a way for people to at least get access to the points they already accumulated over time. We will no longer be going to 85c simply because it is now a waste of time and money.

1/5App requires PII
The app requires you to provide your full birthdate to register, including year. It also forces you to grant permission to allow them to email before you are allowed to complete registration. Both of these items are considered bad practices in modern design. When you finally get an account, the password setup does not work and there’s difficulty to log in (other reviews also cite this problem). The reset password procedure is clunky and non-intuitive, once again straying from best practice app design. And then the stores forces you to show them the app account to redeem in-store promotions instead of being able to just look up your account by phone number. This company needs serious IT / Tech help.
