   Useful when you're looking for a place to live or are curious what housing prices are… obvs Algorithm for comparable and similar rentals shows the same properties so the “similar” rentals seems pointless, at least in the market I’m in. The price point of both, and particularly comparable rentals since that’s all I’m using (see above) only moves toward higher priced properties. It’s a flaw because, when I expanded my search toward lower priced properties I found several excellent homes that compare favorably to the more expensive ones I’ve been seaarching. I’d like to have been shown those; the algorithm offers property far over the higher dollar amount of my filters and smaller than my specified square footage or beds and baths. Please stop showing me properties that are 1/2x(ft2), 1/2x(bedrooms, bathrooms or both), or 2x(maximum rent), 3x(maximum rent)... especially when absolutely everything is = or > than the property I just looked at. If I’ve been shown the propertt in the app repeatedly, please stop showing it all the time. If a property is comparable and I’ve hidden or saved it, please indicate that so I don’t need to open the property again. What’s with the “updates”? That doesn’t seem to mean anything- is it a ruse to get me to look at the house again? Can’t it be made obvious what’s changed? New properties aren’t showing up clearly; they should stand out easily against background noise as should a house that’s relisted because a lease apparently fell through.

2. 1/5Horrible Customer Service

   Previously I used Zillow to help manage my rental properties until recently when my account was suspended when a scammer reported my account and zillow took the side of the scammer. The scammer attached an obviously fraudulent document from the VA claiming to be a disabled Vet. As a disabled vet myself, I easily picked up on inconsistencies in their form that made me suspicious (ie, no VA waterpark, the VA seal was in black and white, the use of “we find you…”, and lastly the pay amount was not consistent with the amounts from the VA website, etc). Next, was the then bank statement. The bank statement had three laughable entries and thats it, the next document was their bank statement. The bank statement had three entries and thats it… then finally the credit report of the individual had a statement that “my identity had been stolen on 11/15 and please reach out xxx-xxx-xxxx to verify any credit applications.” The number was different than the number on the zillow application and I reached out to the guy and he confirmed he did not make the application. At this point, I denied the application and called out the guy as a scammer to which he reported my account. When I protested Zillow’s customer service they laughed at me and said I violated the fair housing act… are you serious? Where in the fair housing act does it protect someone who stole someone’s identity and is using fraudulent documents?

   This app offers no suggestions even after inputting all the information it asks for. When doing a search it shows all properties that are outside of the set parameters, none or extremely few within parameters. Half of the possible details to most listings say “contact manager.” Seriously? If you mean “no pets” just state “no pets” and stop wasting my time!!! By the way, about a third of the time when the listing says “cats, small dogs, large dogs” what they mean is “no cats.” Again state what you mean to begin with! Contacting a property only gets a response about one out of twenty times, and then it is just an automated response that doesn’t answer your query. A few just direct you to another website that makes you look through 50 more rentals that don’t fit your needs and the answer to your question about the one property still isn’t available if you can even find the property you were asking about. Most properties listed are already off market but haven’t been updated. Others go off market within an hour of the listing going up (who can view a property, apply and be approved that quickly????). There should be a way to remove listings that the user has already ruled out for whatever reason, so those same properties don’t keep popping back up. This app has just added to my frustration and wasted 3 weeks of my house-hunting time.

   I find this app to be quite ineffective. When you request to view apartments, there is often no response from realtors. Recently, I finally had someone reach out, made an appointment to see two apartments. He didn't have a realtor card after I had asked for It he texted me back saying he will send one when he gets to the office. Hours later he sends me a photo of the broker he worked for. Then, he sent me an application for the wrong apartment and asked for documents such as a picture of my Social Security card, which I found unusual since I’ve never been asked for that before. It felt like this was a scam because this person didn't have the proper credentials. Please be cautious about who contacts you. Ensure they are legitimate realtors before sending any documents. I had a bad feeling about this situation, and when I confronted him, he simply said he understood and left it at that, even though I was genuinely interested in the apartment. He also mentioned that I could pay $500 to lock in the apartment, which would prevent others from viewing it, and that if my application was denied, the $500 would be refunded. This was a major red flag for me.

5. 3/5App is okay but needs a lot of improvement

   Pros: - Able to draw search boundaries - Application process with partner was seamless. You’ll see your credit score and background check results instantly. Cons: - Doesn’t have option to “X” out homes that we’ve already evaluated and ruled out. - Search parameters constantly gets reset even though I’ve saved the search. As a result I get listings outside my search parameters, thinking that it meets my requirements, then to find it doesn’t. Very frustrating and a waste of my time. - Saved searches aren’t easily navigated on a desktop or iPhone. It’s a bit confusing. When I modify a search and want to save, it forces me to create a new saved search name when I want to overwrite the existence saved search. - Able to save your saved homes and share with partner. But somehow if my partner likes the same home I do, the saved home falls off my list but appears on his and vice versa. It’s confusing bc I swear I saved a home but it doesn’t show up on my list. Suggest for the app to indicate that the home is liked by both partners. - has a feature to let you tag what you like about a home (then automatically saves as favorite) but doesn’t allow you tag what you don’t like. Again, wish there’s an option to “X” out. It would be helpful when you’re reviewing 10s of homes weekly.
