2/5Seems great but can’t use!
I’ve heard great things about the app! I’m living in Vietnam and downloaded it to communicate with Vietnamese friends here but from the start it disabled my account. I tried to verify using my passport and home state ID card but both are not able to be recognized by the verification software. I tried messaging the company for help but all I get is a message back saying my account is disabled. I tried deleting the account, but it won’t let me - saying the account has been banned. Again, I was disabled right when I first logged in with my new Vietnamese phone number. I now can’t use the app at all. Definitely a major communication and system issue

1/5Verification process is malfunctioning
I downloaded this app to communicate with my family in Vietnam. However, I can’t even do so because right after creating my account, it was disabled because I needed to verify my account with some form of identification. I tried using both my California Driver License and my US passport. I made sure that my ID’s were perfectly within the frame provided, that my photos were clear, and that there was no glare whatsoever. I even tried to use uploaded photos instead of taking pictures straight from the app. After ten minutes of trying and trying again, I still got the same message “ID or documents not able to be recognized”. The software for this is app is so unbelievably rudimentary that it must have an issue recognizing non-Vietnamese forms of identification. What kind of incompetence does it take to create such a terribly unreceptive and rigid software? No wonder the ratings are so low. I am extremely displeased to the point that I will not only never recommend this app to anyone who comes to Vietnam, but will also thoroughly share this unkind yet 100% honest and accurate review.

1/5App needs a lot of improvement
My friend just got a new phone and new number. I helped her to set up a new zalo account but the app never recognized the phone number, when we requested to receive the one time password, it always said error, and said to try back in 24 hours. We’ve been trying for the last 4 days. Same error. She hasn’t been able to contact her family in Vietnam for 4 days. Because of her problem, I tried to secure my zalo account by adding email for a back up plan incase I change a new phone in the future. I received the link to confirm my email address in my email. But when I clicked on the link to finish confirmation, it lead to a blank white website that never finish loading. And now the confirmation email expired, and I’ve never could upgrade my security. If I could give it zero star, I would. Please fix and give it some attention if you want more customers!

1/5Worst communication app in my life
How about you save the sent files on your own server forever instead of deleting it after, idk, 1 month after sent? And if you were to ask people to download it to their device, maybe don’t make it mandatory to save it to your app and if you do can’t you somehow make a feature where users can delete these saved files on the app? Not to mention that you can’t be active on more than 2 devices? And that whenever the device is switched all messages and files are gone forever as it’s saved into the local device? And that cloud message with a limited storage? I don’t understand how this app is popular in Vietnam. What a joke.

1/5I’m extremely disappointed
I been a Zalo member for YEARS! About few months ago my phone complete took out all apps an when I went to download it back it was asking for my number I put in my number but it is always starts the number as four instead of (320) three digit maybe because of different countries but I put it for the states, so I tried until I gave up, because it wouldn’t let me log in, anyway I really needed it to download back because I had some really IMPORTANT MESSAGES on there that I need today, I even reached out to Zalo yet there was no reply! I’m soooooo disappointed in Zalo. You were my favorite app! These messages and pictures we really important to me an now there gone.

          "body": "How about you save the sent files on your own server forever instead of deleting it after, idk, 1 month after sent? And if you were to ask people to download it to their device, maybe don’t make it mandatory to save it to your app and if you do can’t you somehow make a feature where users can delete these saved files on the app? Not to mention that you can’t be active on more than 2 devices? And that whenever the device is switched all messages and files are gone forever as it’s saved into the local device? And that cloud message with a limited storage? I don’t understand how this app is popular in Vietnam. What a joke.",

About few months ago my phone complete took out all apps an when I went to download it back it was asking for my number I put in my number but it is always starts the number as four instead of (320) three digit maybe because of different countries but I put it for the states, so I tried until I gave up, because it wouldn’t let me log in, anyway I really needed it to download back because I had some really IMPORTANT MESSAGES on there that I need today, I even reached out to Zalo yet there was no reply! I’m soooooo disappointed in Zalo. You were my favorite app! These messages and pictures we really important to me an now there gone.",
