1. 5/5read this before getting this app or installing it on a child device

   This app is full on trashy just not even any good content most of it is cringe or stuff that hurts kids brain Cocomelon 99% of the app is Cocomelon and brain rot and those are known for damaging kids, brains, and kids getting addicted tantrum over getting their iPads /devices away search bar, barely works and the voice thing always says is sorry I can’t find that it’s not on here or sorry. I can’t hear you. Try again over and over and over again. And there’s cringe and weird video on there like werd werd and when you try blocking those videos, it doesn’t work at all is overall just terrible and trashy. Do not get just a waste of time and storage in memory on your device, please do not install that on your child’s device or install it on your device and the parental control don’t work at all you just to enter a multiplication problems, answer to pass it and they can easily google it or ask Alexa Siri or use a calculator then easily bypass their parental controls do not install it on your child’s device please just a waste of time and storage

2. 2/5Needs more potential🫤

   Don’t get me wrong, this is a great app and all, but there’s some things that should change. For starters, I think the 9-12 age group should have a less childish theme and something more suitable for older kids. The colors are too bright for me and I wish they were darker and not so vibrant. Also, the sounds of when you’re swiping through video suggestions is just annoying. It gives me an earworm and wish there was a feature to remove the sounds. And some of the videos they suggest for me are WAY too childish. I need something more entertaining like a channel for older kids that’s also appropriate for the app. And the last thing that is okay but still needs some work is that the app only updates when there a month with a holiday. The app needs to update more often instead of just giving it a new theme each month or so. Another thing that I can’t stand is when you search for a certain channel and there are videos from it but it’s not available. I don’t understand the point of adding videos of a channel and then making the channel unavailable. Something similar to this is one day, you’re watching your favorite YouTuber’s videos and the next day, they aren’t there anymore. This is constantly annoying because every time I find a channel that is actually entertaining, they always remove it the next day and don’t put it back until 4-5 months later. This is unfair to others who are trying to enjoy this app the best they can and the company is making it harder for them to do so. This is just my opinion so please respect it.

3. 2/5So never ever EVER delete anything that was already there 😡

   So the reason I put two stars is because will I’m 12 and turning 13 this September and I USED to like the music it had but the next day when I search it up the cat popped up so when is did it over and over again I didn’t work so I few days later it came back again I was so happy that I quickly put it on but guess WHAT?!!! The next day it was gone again this got me mad but also kinda happy because they sanded a subscribe button but not apron all of the channels so if you could put it on every channel like idk maybe SSsniper wolf the reason her is because when I was like idk 6 I had normal yt so I always watched her and she does not say bad words or show anything bad and when ty kids put just one vid about her I thought there was going to be a subscribe button so I can see other vid but NO!!!!! So plz put a new vid every day in my opinion and also on the 8-12 age group there is still like baby videos so plz take those out because they are really bothering me and if u can add a special place to see videos that are like live and you can comment but only on the 8-12 so the little kids can be safe🤪😊 but for the older kids I think there old enough to comment and see live🔴 videos but ones with no bad words to be safe again😊 also if you can add normal yt features like idk a bell so we can be notified on new videos but only on the ones we subscribe to so plz respond to this comment so I can upload this app again thank you and good bye.

4. 2/5“Older” section needs improvement.

   so I recently decided to randomly check this out for no particular reason but I just wanted to try it out, and let me just say I’m really disappointed. I’m 12, not exactly the main demographic this app is targeted for but there is a “older” section for people who are around the ages of 8-12 and I think it needs work. For one thing the videos in the “older” section didn’t even manage to make me entertained. I genuinely got bored from looking at some of the videos. They don’t have a lot of family friendly youtubers. Take flamingo for a example. He isn’t on the app even though he is completely family friendly. The videos I saw seemed to be made for 7-9 year olds. I recommend that the creators made a section for 11-12 year olds that feature a more mature youtubers and not just the same old Stuff. Maybe some people like Ethan gamer or Ronald toys reviews but not everyone does. I want to see some more adult youtubers because to me, I prefer watching a adult play video games or simply just doing some commentary because adults can be a lot funnier because they know a lot of things kids don’t. can you please also add a section for males and females? Don’t get me wrong, I don’t believe in gender stereotypes but what male would want to watch a Barbie doll meditation video?! Seriously? 1 more thing, can you please add in more mature cartoons? The cartoons on yt kids are obviously directed for people who are around the ages of 5-9. I would like to see some more mature stuff on the app. Thanks

   This app has no content, no moderation, and is just chucking perfectly fine if not, useful features. when I had this app I would spend my time by rewatching videos for the 5th time which I thought was normal but nope, I only was doing that because there was no new content and if a creator posted a new video, you won’t be able to see it until months later. even family friendly YouTubers such as Ryan Trahan orJakeras, or even just YouTubers who have no reason to be hidden from kids such as vindooly and others are just not there. big and small YouTubers aren’t there leading to repetitive genres and even if you wanted to search for new content by searching it up. it’ll give you 1 of 2 options, option 1, it’ll just give you irrelevant content, or option 2, it’ll say “sorry we couldn’t look for that” even if the thing you typed was fine. they also removed the song from 2023 which was the most recognized tune in my house and even useful features such as the ability to swipe left to see your recently watched or subscribed YouTubers. speaking of subscribing, you aren’t able to subscribe or view half of the channels. you would think with all this strictness that their moderation would be good but no. there are obvious cursing and inappropriate meanings that would probably fly over kids head so that start saying it like regular phrases. there are also so many brainrot videos with most of them being Minecraft mobs with sex toys. I would say this app is for babies but it’s really not because of the horrible moderation. It’s like they are doing reverse, filtering the good and replacing it with the bad.

   Incredibly annoying app. Not very easy to use and change the parental settings I initially set up. Literally cannot figure out how to change the settings again. I set a 4 digit passcode and it never remembers it and I have to do this each time. Very, very annoying app.
