5/5Great App
Extremely useful in planning observing sessions with all weather-related information I need presented in clean, straight-forward manner. Also like the added “alternative forecasts” feature that makes the NOAA satellite service and Clear Outside weather applications available. Recently I needed information for several areas on the US west coast plus several towns along the western Mexican coast but after my trip they were still listed in the app but no longer needed. Sent a note to Dimitrios asking if he could add a feature whereby unwanted locations could be removed. He actually put that in the latest revision and then sent me a note letting me know that that feature I requested was now available!

5/5My Go-To App for Astro Weather
This is always the first app (and often the only app) I check to plan what nights I should pull out my telescope. It does a brilliant job of making it easy to see astronomically related forecast data from a variety of sources (some of which have no mobile apps), allowing me to easily compare to see what the forecast really looks like.

5/5Favorite app to plan observing
Xasteria has become my go to app to plan observing sessions. Over the last three years it has continued to improve so that I now turn to it first. The improvements I value most are improvement of its weather prediction, incorporation of link outs to other prediction models and several smaller usability improvements.

4/5App update doesn’t scale on iPhone
Love the app. Latest 5.0 release doesn’t scale when viewed vertically on the iPhone. Annoying to rotate horizontally, sometimes requiring 2 hands. I miss the +/- buttons on previous version. The developers are amazingly responsive and have already contacted me for more info on my experience.

As Xasteria never nags you with popups about a rating/review, it gets very few ratings despite the number of users. So, if you use the app perhaps you could consider doing a quick rating/review on the app store. -Added French localization. -Quick access to the latest Water Vapor satellite images. -Improved contrast in some pages.

Xasteria never nags you with popups about a rating/review, but gets few ratings for that reason, so if you have time for a quick rating/review, that would be appreciated. There is a link to ratings in the settings page if it helps. What's new: -The main Xasteria weather service (7Timer!) will now be more reliable, as a brand new Xasteria-funded US-based server is up and running. This version tries that mirror first. -The NOAA water vapor page got an update, as there was a satellite replacement: GOES-13 (GOES-East) was retired and GOES-16 is now up in its place.
-
1.8
-Small visual improvements for some devices. -Fix: Restored full results for ISS passes and Iridium flares. I would appreciate a quick review on the App store if you are using the app - if you have a specific request/suggestion you can also try the official app page at http://astro.ecuadors.net

-The 7Timer! service that Xasteria uses will be down for technical reasons. The 7Timer! people are sending their apologies, it is unfortunately an issue beyond their direct control. An alternative weather report link is added for the meantime, and Xasteria will connect to its own server on app launch and notify users about any changes to the situation.

Remember, because Xasteria tries to be nice and never nags you with popups, it gets very few ratings/reviews. So why not help out the app by rating it? What's new: -iPhone X full screen support. -Added a Fahrenheit/Celsius setting separate from Metric/Imperial (useful for countries which use Imperial with Celsius like the UK). -Added FAQ section in info page. -The background color on the main weather view now indicates whether it is day/twilight/night . -Links for GOES-16 Satellite take you directly to the Band 9 water vapor animations. -Other water vapor improvements including fix for missing "< Back" button.

Remember, Xasteria tries to be nice and never nags you with popups, so it gets very few ratings/reviews. Support it by rating it! What's new: – Updated UI with tabs per source. – Clear Sky Charts added as a source for North American users - nearest Chart loaded automatically, alternative available in “Other” sources. – Access to light pollution maps (“Other” sources). – Updated GOES satellite links. – Choice of wind speed units (for in stripe/text viewing mode). – Clearer main page coordinates font. – Fix for "E/W" reversal in recent locations and Ipad landscape settings, credits added. The more capable version, “Xasteria+”, normally only included with Polar Scope Align is now available as a separate app. Upgrading to it supports the free Xasteria and the 7Timer! service and gives you extra features (night mode, location manager, lunar calendar), as well as extra sources that are not free (currently Dark Sky) - which is something that can't be done on the free app for obvious reasons.
