1. 5/5Charged when I thought I was getting a free trial.

   I never meant to buy this. I only wanted the free trial, but they charged my card anyway. I tried to get a refund through their site, but it claims I have no eligible purchases—which is obviously wrong. There’s no phone number, no email, nothing to contact them.

   The app is overall very good, it is easy to understand and provides step by step instructions for the design of your choice, it also gives you the option of taking the designs pdf and printing it. I would change a few things though: 1. (I know this might be a bit expensive, but…) instead of having the ai generated images I would like it if there were real images, even if the lighting or scene isn’t perfect, I would still like to see how the item looks in real life 2. I would also rather have the measurements for the wood be in more standard measurements like centimeters or inches and have some fractions after, I don’t know many people who have things that can measure in millimeters, so it is harder for me to build it. 3. I wish there were more builds and different themes because right now it is feeling like bookshelves, cutting boards, and tables. But otherwise this is a really solid app, I love how it shows you what tools you will need in advanced and the type of wood you will need. Also the ai that can help you during the build if you have questions is a pretty great idea. 9/10

3. 1/5Contact us button doesn’t work

   I got the app because it said I could design my own creations. I get into the app and there is a creation section but no add button. There is no search option so that I can try to find something similar to my idea. Thinking that this most be in error since the entire reason I got the app was to make a blue print of a bed frame, I was going to contact the company to find out how to use their app. When I tapped the “contact us” button my phone sensed there was something to tap but nothing happened yet as I tapped the “encourage us” button it took me straight to the App Store so I know that the creators know how to make functional buttons! Why advertise to me that I could make a blue print when in fact there is no such feature in your app!

4. 1/5Unacceptable inaccuracy

   Identification accuracy based on labeled samples of wood. 2 correct out of 16 and it couldn’t even identify pine, teak, mahogany or rosewood or cherry correctly. Completely inaccurate 10! this included Pine, Cherry, Sapele, Teak, and Mahogany, etc.. Partial identification 4! This category included woods that correctly identified the kind of wood not the variety. English oak, as oak. red oak as white oak. English walnut as just walnut. Black walnut as just walnut. Correctly identified. 2 Padouk Zebra wood I downloaded the app to identify some of the project woods I had accumulated over the years and didn’t know what they were. After a couple of questionable identifications I decided to identify a group of marked samples I had from an online supplier. I left out some of the more uncommon ones and used the more common woods used by hobbyists and professionals alike. The results were so far from accurate I don’t understand how they advertised it as an identification App. I would never trust anything with a 2 out of 16, real world accuracy rating. The great thing is that if you have any wood that is chocolate or brownish in color, 90% of the time it’s walnut.

5. 1/5Inconsistent measuring units and listing identification

   Materials list: Metric. Hardware list: Metric. Cut list photo identification uses numbers (1-17) for example. Cut list is in standard inches and is identified with letters instead of just matching the photo cut identification with the numbers. Like the idea of this app as I’m a carpenter professionally signed up for a trial just to get some project ideas. I could see beginners getting confused or intimidated by how some aspects of the app are set up. Judging by some of the other reviews I’ve seen (after downloading and signing up for the trial) it sounds like this isn’t the only odd issue. Highly underdeveloped for the price you would expect a beginner to pay for the services provided.
