  1. 5/5Great app

I use to use this to track my cycles but then I got pregnant, had cycle issues after pregnancy and more. What I like about the app is not only does it have the flexibility for you to customize everything but you can track just about anything. You can change the standard 28 day cycle to your preference; 21 days, 42 days...each person is different. You can log your symptoms and take notes. It was very helpful when I was have cycle issues and had to see my doctor after a 6 MONTH non stop cycle. I was able to tell her when it started, if there was a day I didn’t have a cycle and I was able to note, “this day I change birth controls” or there’s a button that you can push that notates of your cycle was heavier one day than the next. Now, since I have that under control, I just mark days I have sex and my mood. Meaning, I’m also bipolar and I’ve noticed that in the winter, I log more angry days than happy and this helps me when I talk to my doctor and we up my meds for a few days. Not really a cycle issue, but it has moods you can do. Love this app!

  2. 4/5Good but not great, needs better UX

I can’t say I enjoy using this app but it’s probably the best one-time payment option for the kind of features I’m looking for so I put up with the limitations. There are various symptoms to choose from which is great, but the search bar for it is really finicky and will sometimes just reset when you try to select the severity level of the symptom forcing you to have to retype it and try selecting again really carefully. It’s cumbersome and frustrating to use. The calendar view with icons for each symptom is nice, but if you can’t remember the name of the exact symptom for each icon, you have to scroll down through the whole list of symptoms to see which ones you selected. It would be nice to just have this list up front when you click into the date or if the symptom name would pop up if you click on the icon (more ideal). The colors and the fonts are kind of cluttered and I feel like I just spend more time in the app trying to get a full picture of everything than I really want to. I do like that you can use the main search bar to find old records which is useful for tracking important dates like Pap smears or when IUD was inserted, etc. The flexibility of the period calendar is also a nice feature and I like how it updates its predictions based on the symptoms you provide, although I still can’t verify if it truly works or not. I hope they continue to make improvements to the app.

  3. 3/5Hasn’t aged as well as I hoped

I have been using this app for over a decade. I have paid for account upgrades over the years, but they keep adding new ‘levels’, taking away the ‘unlocked’ features that were promised years back when I paid for it. On top of that, there is no way to update the email address that’s used on the account. This is horrible. My account is linked to an email address that would otherwise be deleted, as it is associated with people/things in my past that were unsafe to me. When I asked for help with this, the person from WomanLog who answered said they can’t help me. If you’re going to charge people, at least have the decency to take your customer’s safety and security seriously. I NEED to change the email address associated with this account. Next thing- there is period tracking, pregnancy mode, and menopause mode. There is, however, NO perimenopause mode. We are learning more and more how important it is to start managing things in perimenopause, and how that can have a very positive effect on full menopause. A perimenopause mode seems vital to early management. I hope these things can be resolved. Aside from that, I have found the app to be efficient. I would not have continued to use it for over a decade if it wasn’t. I did try a couple other apps, and found they just didn’t tick the boxes for me.

  4. 5/5Wonderful App!

I would often go to the doctor with problems I would have.. they would usually ask if they occurred around the same time every month. I had no idea.. I started charting my symptoms using this app and with that data, the doctor was able to diagnose me with mettelschmirz (painful ovulation), PMS (I never had PMS prior to having kids so I had no idea that is what I was experiencing), and that even my migraines were hormone induced! Armed with that knowledge, I became pro-active in preventing these things as much as I was able and greatly improved my existence. I stopped taking birth control last year because I hated how it made me feel (and my husband hated how miserable I was), we aren’t ready to get pregnant yet, so I also use this app to prevent pregnancy. When the time comes where we are ready to start trying again, I will use it to try to conceive. There really aren’t enough words to say how great this app really is!

  5. 5/5Love the full version of Woman Log

Before phones and apps became popular, I used those little pocket/purse size planners and kept track of my cycles that way since I was 11. I’m 32 now. When smart phones and apps blew up and became popular, I heard about people using apps to track their cycles and looked it up one day. Found the Free lite version of Woman Log. After about 6 months, I upgraded to the full version and I've been using this app since 2012, so 7 years now. Woman Log has also been through my 2nd pregnancy with me. I love how it has all of the options for the symptoms, tracking sexual activity, and that it has ability to take notes. It gives you ovulation estimates which for me personally, was accurate, hence my 2nd pregnancy LOL. You can also customize the cycle pattern to you. I love the back up feature. It makes it easy when you switch devices or accidentally delete the app (like I did). I've also never had problems with any glitches or freezing in the years that I've been using it. So that's a plus. I Definitely recommend this app. 😊👍🏽 My pre-teen daughter also uses this app. We love it.
