  1. 3/5Works great on Apple TV but difficult to stop subscription

I have been using willow for 1 month on my Apple TV and an iPad. I have had great image quality watching the live games and no real issues with either application. They worked well, no freezing and most of the time I had a high quality picture. I only plan on watching for a few months of the year so wanted to put my subscription on hold. Well there is no information in the app or website on how to do this. After searching the web found you have to send the support team an email to cancel the subscription. They replied within 48 hours to my email. They then tried to sell me a long term subscription. After I rejected that option they did confirm by email that my subscription had been cancelled. Not the way I want to manage my subscription so I will look at other options.

  2. 1/5A Complete Scam - Takes your money, pushes ads, TV app is broken!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I bought a Willow by Cricbuzz subscription specifically to watch the T20 World Cup on my TV, but the TV app is completely broken. Every time I try to activate it, I get a generic 'Something went wrong. Please try again later.' The OTP email login is also broken—the emails never arrive! I am NOT using a VPN, just a standard direct connection. Thinking there was a glitch on my end, I created a brand-new, clean account and actually paid for a SECOND parallel subscription in the same month just to get it to work. It still failed. The app happily takes your money twice, but completely blocks TV access once you've paid. A quick internet search shows countless other customers have been facing this exact same TV login issue .Yet, the developers completely ignore it. Instead of fixing their broken app, they just concentrate on capturing as many subscriptions as possible and selling their advertisements to US entities without providing the actual service you paid for. I didn't even bother emailing their support because a T20 match is only 3 hours long—who has time to sit around waiting for a slow email response while the live game is over? I was forced to watch on a tiny phone screen instead of the TV I paid for. This service is an absolute cash grab. Save your money and find an alternative!"

  3. 1/5Bait and Switch

These guys are masters of the bait and switch game. Their subscription volumes tend to swell when there are large tournaments and wane immediately after. So they find ways to offer you the option of watching a game free on the App to entice customers in. They make it easy to sign up initially as in my case of being able to subscribe from my Apple TV account. As soon as I had subscribed, I was able to watch the game without any hitches. After a couple of days I realized I could no longer use the Apple TV to view games as my subscription was not recognized. I still managed to open my App and AirPlay to my Apple TV. It was a hurdle. It still meant I could view games. On day 3 that option was also revoked. They do not recognize the active subscription on my phone or Apple TV now. This has happened in the past also where I have signed up for a direct account with them and these guys effectively managed to charge me twice. I wish they simply priced the product higher if revenues were the problem. This bait and switch strategy leaves a bad taste in the mouth and deters brand loyalty. There is nothing more annoying than cow towing to people that strategically use their only provider status unethically. This is why this App and service is rated so poorly.

  4. 1/5Willow tv

Willow TV is hands down the worst streaming service I’ve ever subscribed to — and that’s saying something First of all, the ads are unbearable. I’m paying for a premium subscription, yet I’m bombarded with the same annoying ads over and over again — sometimes 3 or 4 back-to-back! What’s the point of paying if I’m still being treated like a free user? Even worse, the ads cut in during live play, so you literally miss important moments just to watch the same ad for a bank or detergent for the 100th time. Absolutely ridiculous. Then comes the buffering. You’ll be watching a key over in a tight match, and boom — frozen screen. The stream stutters constantly, randomly crashes, or drops to garbage quality. It’s 2025 — why does your stream feel like dial-up internet? The app is slow, glitchy, and looks like it was built a decade ago. Navigating between matches is a nightmare. There’s no proper highlight system, no pause/rewind features that actually work, and half the time the app just doesn’t load at all And forget customer support — they don’t respond, don’t care, and offer zero help. You’re just stuck with a broken product and no accountability.

  5. 1/5Willow hate their subscribers and are either sadists, stupid or insane

Willow just updated their Apple TV app and it is essentially non-functional for the simple thing we pay them for, which is to be able to open the app, find either live cricket matches or replays and watch them. For some bizarre reason, they completely took away the simple navigation where you could see upcoming matches or find recent matches by date or by series, and buried any simple clear functionality in a garbage ocean of highlights and other nonsense. To make matters worse, if you are able to find the replay you want, they bizarrely decided to list the results below the replay button and there is no way to turn this off (despite every sports app in existence offering this option.) People used to joke that Willow hated their viewers because their app was a bit amateurish compared to others, but at least it was navigable and functional. This new version appears to be designed by morons that don’t even know what sports are, much less watch them. Unless they fix this, there is no reason to subscribe to this app, it is essentially non-functional.
