4/5Works great - 20 spam calls a day down to 1-3 a month
Could be more efficient if the app took into account the NPA numbering plan rules. i.e. Prefixes can’t start with a 1 or 0, and the second two digits can’t be 11. If the app considered applying the rules and didn’t filter invalid NPA/NXX numbers you could then filter more valid numbers. Also might be nice to be able to white list/exclude a range, like if you know the number block your local government or hospital uses. The app can crash and the only way to recover is to delete the app, backup and restore your phone and then reinstall the app. Need a way to “reset” the app so you don’t have to do this if it start to fail when updating. 99% of the spam calls came from local area codes. I was able to block all of those, with an exception for those numbers in my contact list. 10-30 spam calls a day, most with spoofed local numbers, went to 1-3 a month. Callers can still leave a voice message that I can check/delete after looking at the transcription. Call Protect/HiYa catches the national non-local spam calls so I haven’t gotten a single spam call in over a month now. Have to make sure the app is running in the background, no issue with battery life, and let it fully update its block lists which can take some time. I wish Apple would let a developer make an app where you can white list your contacts and block everything else, until then this is the next best thing.

5/5Unique Outstanding Design App!
I would really like to take a moment to talk about this Unique App. The Developer has put a great deal of Time hard work and a little love into this app! The software looks simple for you myself and our family, but trust me it’s not! The coding of this software takes a great deal of time like I said before to protect you myself and our family from people who invented the words Scam Fraud and Telemarketing Robo calls! They want our money, and our Identity the Developer has put this app out here for a protection system way to stop those calls! The Scam people change their number as fast as the Developer stops them !! But I believe the Developer is on top of them by the many updates that are being made and the fact the app works! I truly thank the Developer and Tip my Hat to Him. I hope if you read this you will download this app and give it a try! I don’t believe you will be sorry! ( really ) well time for this ole Body to move on “ so they say “ but one more time Thanks Mr. Developer for a great outstanding unique app and caring about all of us! You truly are a unique person! Thanks

5/5It Works!
I’m on an iPhone 13 Pro Max. I was getting daily spam calls and robo calls. And even spam porn email text messages. I tried so many spam blockers. Even the really popular ones. They don’t work or cover both calls and email texts. Thought I would give this app a try. It works! For text messages you just type in or copy and paste the messages into the app and it stops any texts with similar words from coming through. And now I have gone days without getting one spam call. I will block entire area codes where most were coming from. If I don’t know anyone or have family in that area no need to allow calls from that area. So they get blocked. You have to follow directions in the app. Allow permissions for this app in your phone settings. And make sure you turn on permission for your contacts in the app so none get blocked. I really don’t understand how it’s not working for some users if they follow directions and give all the permissions within the phone settings. It a long list of permissions but every one needs to be turned on.

5/5Effective app up until the recent update v.4.4.1
The app is simple, yet very good at blocking robo calls. I have been using it for a couple of months. It definitely worked for me for long time up until the recent update v.4.4.1, where the app just fail apart. One of the prefix extension (WideProtect -1) can never be enabled, it just gives you an endless spinning wheel that never goes away. Tried deleting the app and reinstalling it, nothing seems to fix. Prefix extension still shows that spinning wheel. Worst thing about it is, while that prefix extension is still trying to enable itself, the app won’t let you add any numbers to block even if you enabled all the other 24 extensions; instead, it gives you an error message telling you to wait until that one prefix extension is enabled. It’s a shame that nothing seems to get it to work; it was actually good when it works. Update: Worked with the developer on troubleshooting the issue with my app. Happy to say the app is now in perfect working condition. Thanks Valerii for your support.

5/5Actually works. Robot protection.
The robocalls were out of control. Two, three times a day the robots would call. Did I want to redeem my reward points? No. Did I want a better auto insurance rate? Go away! Could I give them my social security number to prove I had paid off non-existent IRS debts? Argh! I had to reclaim my phone. I considered changing phone numbers. That would show them! But these are robots. They are inherently smarter. Capable of placing unlimited calls from any imaginable callback number. At first I tried blocking them all. But the math was against me. With 10,000 phone numbers with my same prefix, what could I do?? I turned to the web, where I found fellow humans with the same problem. Reading their reviews of this app I was convinced that this was truly a defense against the robocalls. It occurred to me that the app could be a plot deployed by the robots to get me only further ensnared in their trap. But the reviews seemed genuine, laced with nihilistic humor only humans would understand. But the app seemed too good to be true. $3 for a lifetime protection from robocalls? I figured it was worth the risk. Now, two weeks into my purchase and I couldn’t be happier. The calls are as if they never happen. I track my calls in the att call protect app, so I can see that the robots are trying. But this app does its job. The calls are screened without my being aware of them at all. We are safe, in part, from the robots. Thank you developers.
