Wherever You Listen

Multiple bug fixes: 1. If you paused and restarted, or fast-forwarded/reversed a podcast from a control outside of the app itself (e.g. from the lock screen or the headphones button), there were circumstances in which it would lose track of where you were in an episode. No more! 2. It used to be slow to load podcast episode lists. No more! 3. It used to be that if you left the episode list containing the podcast you were listening to, it was a hassle to get back and find your episode. No more! And on top of that, while it's still a free app, there is now a banner that shows links to random artists sites where you can buy art and music and more. This ad banner is focused on your privacy--there is no algorithm or anything, just a random ad from an array embedded in the app that, if you choose to tap an ad, will simply redirect you to your browser, in which the artist's site will be opened. No tracking, no profile, no nothing getting between you and the artists we want to support.

Fixed a bug where you couldn't restart a podcast episode once you'd completed it. Unsubscribes are now "soft", meaning that your episode progress is saved so that if you resubscribe to the same podcast, you'll be able to pick up where you left off. Fixed a bug where the slider showing progress might start at an incorrect position. Made it so that if you unsubscribe to a podcast while you're listening to an episode from that podcast, it stops playback and removes the "return to episode" panel for it, so you won't return to an unsubscribed podcast.

I know I just released 2.0, but this one is big enough that I felt it deserved a 3.0! Included are: - Miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements, such as enabling the swipe-back gesture to get from a podcast's episode list back to your subscriptions list.. - UI overhaul to embrace liquid glass. - And last, but not least: iCloud synch! On that last one, it's totally transparent: if you're logged into iCloud, it'll save your subscription list and episode progress into your own private iCloud storage, and if you're using multiple devices logged into the same iCloud account, it'll synch your subs and progress. If not, it won't bug you to use the feature. Additionally, this means that if you mistakenly delete the app, you won't lose all your subs. And last, but not least, it's very light from a data perspective. Just a few dozen bytes per episode and per podcast. You're going to love it!

Boring but cool: occasionally after the app had been idle for a while, resuming or starting a new podcast episode would not work, requiring the app to be force-quit. That's no longer an issue! Less boring, and even more cool: you can now set a playback speed (0.5 to 2.0x) per podcast. This is saved and synched just like your subscriptions and episode progress.
