5/5Beautiful interface with no ads
Wow! I was looking for a weather app for my elderly dad’s phone with no ads because he accidentally clicks on the ads as he scrolls and gets lost in them. This app was not only free with no ads, it has a beautiful interface and an diverse set of gadgets. The beautiful backdrop pictures are local weather specific. I would and have recommend this app to friends and elderly parents or kids especially because there are no ads to accidentally click on. If there was one incredibly minor improvement I would ask for it would be to explain what the growing dots on the radar map are (wind/precip/other) or a clickable explanation of that screen. If a second very minor improvement it would be to recognize if I am asking for weather far away to give me the weekly forecast forecast. “As a user who is travelling, I would like the weekly weather to appear first when searching a location more than 100 miles away”.

4/5Super great customization
I love how you can choose the order that various weather features (temp, precipitation, barometric pressure, etc.) are displayed in the main view in the app, and even which features to show on the Home Screen widget. (You can have up to 4 if you use the “current” layout.) I live on a coastal island that often has high winds, and I sail and kayak a lot, so personally I love being able to see the wind speed and direction along with the current temp right from my Home Screen; I’m not aware of any other app that can do this. The only reason I took off a star is for aesthetic reasons. The native iPhone weather app has a much nicer, bolder font that is easier to read on the widget, and the weather icons are all kind of ugly (even though there are 4 styles, there are really just two, one silly childrens book style and one that you can have in full color, black or white. The fourth one is the same as the 2nd and 3rd but with a thermometer in place of the sun/moon/cloud icons.) none of that is terrible but it could be better.

5/5The best text based weather app I have come across.
If you are looking for pretty weather related pictures in your weather app, this is not the app for you. By this, I mean there is no satellite images, no radar images, no weather maps. What this app does do in an absolute amazingly pleasant way is give you what you are most interested in. That would be forecast, current conditions, sunrise, sunset, moon phases and air quality in a very easy to read format on my iPad Pro 5th generation. I do see one lil bug that probably needs to be looked into. The dew point and temperature is conducive of fog formation, but the visibility forecast of 0 miles is probably not correct. When dew point and temp meet on a common temp, that is the beginning of fog formation, that doesn’t mean the fog will be dense enough to cause 0 visibility as indicated under the detail option in the forecast therefore this should be checked into.

5/5The weather app we’ve all been waiting for
This app and developer are amazing. Ad free, no tracking, accurate, and free! I had an issue trying to figure out how to make the widget display in wide mode. I emailed the developer and received a response within 24 hours on a weekend! That is customer service you just don’t get anywhere else, and for a free, easy to use and ad free app that made me decide to leave a review. This is the only review I’ve ever left for an app, I am that happy with it. I had completely removed all other weather apps from my phone because of the extremely excessive ads and tracking. Very happy to have an app that doesn’t have all of that. By the way, if you aren’t able to get the wide mode to work, I found that I had to delete the widget then add it again and make the selection for the large icon when adding it again. This is on iOS 18 iPhone 16 pro.

5/5I was looking for a “best bang for your buck” free weather app… donated in 2 mins anyway! 😅
What a great App and the fact that it’s offered for free is fabulous. I often have to make very last second decisions for work travel to other areas where the weather could possibly be very different. Plus, I need to know what the weather will be like on my way back. I need more information than what most apps offer for free and I need it all in one area on my screen. On other apps being interrupted in the middle of looking up Weather because of stupid ads is so frustrating & you don’t get that in this app. I also love, supporting Indie, developers, offering free & useful tools to the masses! After you download this app, read the message from the Developer… Love it it tipped me over the edge! I almost never give out glowing reviews like this, but really it’s a lovely app & navigating it is very simple.

I have released a new weather map. It now displays terrain, features enhanced animations, and supports pressure contour lines. The new weather map allows you to select the rainfall radar, but the coverage area is currently smaller than it was with RainViewer. I plan to expand the radar coverage gradually. With the discontinuation of RainViewer, the 2D map has been removed. You can customize the new weather map from the Custom Layout settings. On iOS 26, I fixed issues where some layouts and visual elements were displayed incorrectly. I also fixed an issue where the widget's time graph displayed incorrect information when two temperature-related items were selected.
