1. 5/5Sharp, interesting, and easy to use!

   Smart colors, fun, and easy! I use this app at least 3 times every day in the summer to conserve air conditioner energy. It is quick, user friendly, and one can have multiple locations to monitor. (But one location at a time, as opposed to an ability to compare weather simultaneously.). The only thing I disliked was that the app second guesses way too soon while your typing in the city, removing the keyboard while still typing which taps into the attached ads located directly under the keyboard. Very annoying; but easy to quickly double click and swipe away the ad. Besides, we are not using the keyboard all the time anyway except to enter cities. So I’m 5-Star happy.

   I really like the look and feel of this app, but there is one thing that I would like to see addressed. When the app is opened, it always opens up with the topmost selection in the saved locations. I’m a snowbird and spend half of my time in Florida and half of my time in Massachusetts, and would like to easily be able to rearrange the list of saved places so that the app opens up to where I am. If I turn on current location, It tells me that I’m in cities that are 100 miles away, or more. It looks like it’s picking my location based on my IP address which is usually somewhere other than where I physically am, and if it’s NOT using my IP address, then the app really and truly has no idea of where I am. If you delete a saved location, from say,it’s 4th spot down on the saved list, there is no easy way to get it back to that spot that I’ve found, other than to delete every saved location after that then re-enter all of them in the order you want them in. So, right now, my winter residence is in saved position #1, and my summer residence is in saved position #4, and I can’t find any way to easilyswap them around. Fix that minor annoyance, and I’ll change my rating.

3. 2/5There are better!!!

   After using this app for almost 6 months, I have found that a number of locations are not found when you try to add them. This seems to be the only weather app I’ve tried that seems to have this problem. I’m glad I didn’t spend any money on this thing before testing it out thoroughly. Granted, it is a very good looking app and provides a lot of good info for locations it can find, but all in all useless if it can’t find simple locations such as Cheyenne Wyoming, Casper Wyoming, Prudhoe Bay Alaska, just to name a few. Yes, Prudhoe Bay Alaska is also known as Deadhorse Alaska, but if one would not know this they would probably give up on that location. It should actually be found under both names!!! If you look at any of the other reviews where the reviewer is critical of this app, note that the developers response (if any at all) is this almost copy and paste...not very helpful!!! Like I state in the subject line, “there are better” weather apps available!!!

4. 3/5Currently my favorite weather app

   Closest thing to what weather underground used to be. After their new update they destroyed a perfect app. I tested all the other apps and this was the best organized. It has most of what you want to see up front and easy to see. The forecast graph is the best of all the current apps, but barely tolerable compared to the old Weather Underground. The bigger gripe is that all the times run together, so if your vision isn’t 20/20 it’s too difficult and you really have to spend too much energy separation the time. It’s a graph put the rain percentages in as a visual instead of numbers. Everything is ten times easier and faster to see and comprehend when it’s a visual. Otherwise you might as well be looking at a spreadsheet and be like every other app out there. Copy the old Weather Underground and you’ll be the best app BY FAR.

5. 2/5Needs fixing

   This app is OK with the potential to be very good, but it has some bugs that need to be fixed. The radar map doesn’t work and there are very few locations that can be looked up, although it does pick up my local weather data. I don’t know if the developer is serious about maintaining the app either. I’ve sent a message about the problems along with some ways I think the display can be improved but haven’t heard back, so I don’t know if the developer just wants to make a few bucks and never improve on what’s here. If bugs are fixed and improvements made I would give this 4.5 stars but right now I can’t go any higher than 2 stars because there doesn’t seem to be any interest from the developer to fix the bugs or improve the display.
