1. 5/5Great, Understandably Inaccurate at times

   This app is just like a classical app of your basic things. It gives you your 10 day forecast of what it’s supposed to look like. Also, however, they provide your UV Index, Visibility, wind gusts, expected rain amount, and all kinds of fun and more detailed things! It’s obvious that it is changing frequently as new indications come in after every few so minutes-hours. People on here are absolutely OUTRAGED by the inaccuracy of what it would look like 7 days from now. I mean, come on! You expect it to be able to accurately predict the rotations of clouds? Not always! Just because they didn’t predict an extra hour of rain doesn’t mean you should go in an outrage. There are people on here who said weathermen have predicted weather for years and do way better. Newsflash, bud! Weathermen work for this app and work with radars! They also have storm chasers and people ON THE SCENE to detect the danger of your location. I have an app that’s my news channel and it TELLS ME when lighting is detected and how far away it is and it’s accurate! For example: Lightning strikes. I count 12 seconds, thunder cracks (if you don’t know, people say every second you don’t hear thunder after you see lightning is a mile) and then I get a notification, “Lightning detected 12.3 miles away from you.” I mean, that’s accuracy. Overall, if your hating on this app cause an hour of unpredicted isolated storms ruined your schedule, boo boo to you this is a helpful app.

2. 5/5Here We Go Again

   Yet another example of Big Tech ruining an innovative product. Dark Sky, which Apple bought and will shut down as of January 1st, is an extremely detailed weather and forecasting app. I was tipped off to Dark Sky by my wife. Her museum, much of which is outdoors, uses Dark Sky to plan operations. Why does a major New York City museum use Dark Sky instead of The Weather Channel or Apple Weather or the late, much lamented Weather Underground? Because Dark Sky provides the user with loads of information about the weather. It gives you current conditions on one screen-not just temperature, but wind, humidity, pressure, UV index, precipitation, sunrise/sunset, visibility. Apple has apparently incorporated this detail into their current weather app, however, you have to scroll to find it and it is only available for current conditions. This is why the actual Dark Sky app is far and away superior to Apple's Weather. It predicts all this information day by day, hour by hour for up to a week in advance. This information is incredibly useful for planning outdoor events, camping, hiking, biking, etc. it is also an important safety tool, allowing people to plan for possibly dangerous weather events. Apple is taking all of this away. Good work Apple. What they should have done is simply taken the Dark Sky app, slap the Apple name on it and called it a day. They could even put that silly animated sky background up there. I wouldn't care as long as they didn't destroy a nearly perfect weather app just like IBM did to Weather Underground.

   Apple updated a free app, and finally made it available to iPad and the usual complaining begins. No good deed goes unpunished. Dark Sky was Apple recommended, but the App represented that it had unbelievable precognition. Folks must have loved it by looking at the complaints over it's discontinuation. There are over a dozen other great weather apps folks! The problem seems to be that Apple is taking a realistic approach and keeping the weather data between the error bars. Bravo. All the apps that claim to be more accurate just interpolate values, they don't have their own super predictive and super sensitive weather satellite systems. In other words, they aren't any more accurate than Apple's (or anyone else's) forecast. Some apps merely present their information to seem "better" using spurious precision. Another thing, everything is the Apple app that you could want: hourly forecasts, ten day forecast, rain stop and start times, radar/temp/AQI map, sunrise/sunset, wind speed and direction, etc and all done better than my old paid NOAA and TWC apps ever could. Finally, it's without cost, and apple does not prevent anyone from downloading one of the many competitors out there. The cherry on top is the wonderful lock screen and/or widget integration. Most of this information is presented at a choice of sizes and detail, works at a glance, and it all looks nice! We live in an information golden age, let's stop looking for something to act entitled about. Try writing an app, it's hard, and you'll gain an appreciation for the work of others.

4. 5/5Beautiful! Accurate-what’s coming! Precise-when it’s coming!

   This is such a beautiful weather app! It is absolutely STUNNING! It is very precise and on target, which I found surprising. Not even the local new’s weather guy can predict what time rain will start to fall with such precision…so you’d naturally THINK an app certainly can not either, and you’d probably be correct…BUT WE AREN’T TALKING ABOUT ALL THE OTHER WEATHER APPS! This is so precise far as timing is concerned AND so extremely ACCURATE far as predicting exactly what type of weather is heading your direction…it’s spooky and exciting! lol! 🤣😂 My husband and I have this app on every device we own (where apps are downloaded & used). You can see weather in real time, hour by hour if you prefer. And whatever your local weather is doing will reflect on the app upon opening. What I mean is if it’s raining 🌧️ in your area, and you open your app, you will see rain drops on the screen! Beautiful! And if there’s lightning 🌩️ ⛈️ ⚡️…you’ll see THAT too! It will appear as though the rain is falling onto your screen. And lightning will flash and appear as though it’s directly under your device’s screen! And if it’s just a cloudy day, you will see clouds under your device’s screen. Sunny day! You’ll see the sun! It’s absolutely exciting! Whatever the weather, this app reflects it on your device’s screen. So very cool!😎

   So sometimes the weather looks like it is going to be a great sunny day but sometimes it just changes immediately well the weather app is so helpful because I can check the weather in the morning so I know how hot or cold it will be today and it really just tells me to wear on that day how hot it’s gonna be like if the weather is gonna change immediately even if it’s sunny and then quickly changes to freezing and storming and cold, and even has a radar attached to it and write immediately when a weather, warning or severe weather warning comes in, and alerts right to the weather app and gives you notifications and will actually when you tap on, it will give you a little radar. It’s national weather service, which is really helpful because sometimes I just don’t know what to wear these days and then like it just helps me really so much because like like even if I’m going to food in Maryland anywhere anywhere I can literally look on the Weather app and search for a city in airport state anything this is why I wanna give it five star stars it really helps me out. The only thing is I would give a little bit of bugger about is that when you don’t have service it won’t work but otherwise it’s really great so thanks a lot whoever made this.
