My very favourite TV show is Absolutely Alabama with the masterful Fred Hunter. I grew up with 3 TV channel options until I was 10 years old when Alabama Public Television first aired from Mount Cheaha. I remember going outside next to the chimney and turning our quite tall TV antenna from Birmingham to Cheaha and back again because I simply had to see Tom York and Pat Gray! Thank you so much for these 63 years of service to me.

2/5Stop Objective Reporting!!
I’ve been a regular viewer of this local news station for quite some time, and I genuinely enjoy staying informed through your daily broadcasts. However, I’ve recently noticed a shift in the tone and presentation of certain stories that feels more aligned with specific political perspectives. As a viewer, I value balanced, fact-based reporting that allows individuals to form their own opinions. Lately, some segments seem to lean toward promoting particular policies or ideological viewpoints rather than simply presenting the facts. This can make it difficult to distinguish between objective reporting and commentary. Local news plays an important role in the community, and with that comes a responsibility to remain as neutral and unbiased as possible. There are already countless sources of opinion and influence—what many viewers are looking for is straightforward, factual information. I hope to see a return to more neutral, fact-driven reporting moving forward, as I would truly like to continue watching and supporting this station.

2/5Full page ads are the worst
After several attempts to have them change the way they present full page ads, I am going to turn off all notifications and use another news source. These ads are for various games that cannot be dismissed without triggering the App Store to open. Then once you close the App Store there is an option to dismiss the ad. I understand the need for revenue for this free service but it’s gotten out of hand. I love my FOX6 news team and I will continue to watch them on TV but apparently their leadership is seeking ad revenue above viewer’s loyalty to the point that I won’t be using their news app.

5/5Wonderful weather team
Per a post that was made saying that their are way to many weatherman/woman on fox 6…. Keep dong an amazing job…Mickie n the morning and Wes thru out the day. I love Fox 6 whole cast from the anchorman’s,sports and the weather team. Yes James spann is the status quo but there are other amazing Meteorologist out there such as this group.

I love watching this news but this is one of the worst apps I’ve ever used. It freezes up and I constantly have to click the play button to restart it. Sometimes it won’t play so I have to back out of the app and restart it. Also a commercial will just play right in the middle of the news. Then they play so long when the news comes back on it looks like it’s already been on and I miss parts of it. I’ve removed and reinstalled the app and tried turning my phone off and back on. Nothing helps so I’m just going to delete this app.
