4/5SD Garage not fully utilizing the app
I love the app. It’s easy to make reservations, great to track shuttles, and provides immediate discounts. I wish the San Diego garage would make full use of the app. They wave customers in and hand them a slip of paper. Worse than that, in order to leave, you have to show a printout of the email you received when making the reservation. Why? I pay up front for the service when making the reservation. Then, the attendant won’t let me leave the garage without a physical printout even though I showed him the same information on the app. Frustrating.

1/5Does Not Work
I have been using the app for about 3 months and 6 reservations during that time period. My conclusion is that the app is dysfunctional at best. 1. It will not enable me to create future reservations. 2. All past reservations show the same date and it is the date the user is actively on the app. Each time I open the app, the dates change to the current date. I am unable to view past reservations by the actual date of the reservation. This makes business expense reimbursement problematic. 3. The app will not show the current reservation. Every time I open the app to view my current reservation the app displays “You have no upcoming reservations.” 4. I am forced to make reservations via a computer (due to item 1) and I cannot manage active reservations (due to item 3). 5. The app will not show future reservations that have been booked.

1/5Just. Does. Not. Work.
The bugs range from annoying to impassable. Annoying? There’s a huge blue button on the home screen that invites me to “Make a reservation.” Tapped the button. Nothin’. Tapped the text. Nothin’. Tapped some other text. Still nothin’. Looked for anything else with the word reservation. Nothin’. OK, I get it that “Book now” at the bottom should get to the reservation bit, but don’t mislead me with a “make a reservation” button that doesn’t do anything, and don’t then switch terminology on the button that leads to reservation making. Just amateur UI design. Of course, that would be less bothersome if making a reservation actually worked. But when I select the date (a week from now) the app pops up a spinner to select the drop off time, but whatever time I select results in “Alert. Error in date time selection. Please try again.” I can’t select the date and time I plan to drop off my car. I can’t select a date and time that I don’t plan to drop off my car. Well, heck. I guess I can’t make a reservation. That’s something of a problem for a reservation app.

2/5Can’t manage reservations
I love Wally Park, the convenience and cost are great. But this app is extremely frustrating. When I create a reservation for the future it doesn’t go into the “Open Stay” tab but rather the “View History” tab. Additionally, in the View History tab, every stay is labeled with the date you opened the app, so you have to open each one in order to find the reservation for the date you are staying. A way to fix this is to make all active reservations show in the Open Stays tab with their reservation dates, it would also be great to be able to add these QR codes to our Apple Wallet to skip the frustration all together.

2/5App is bad, but service itself is good
Shuttle pickup map in the app doesn’t work, and the website tells you to go to the app and use their shuttle map. We also got a card that requested we text the word “SHUTTLE” to a number and then answer the prompts, but we never got any prompts to answer and are unsure if we successfully called for a shuttle or not so we are just kind of waiting at the pick up, assuming they will eventually come by? For the first time using it, the app was stressful bc the map was slow and since nothing worked I didn’t really trust it to be accurate with the pickup locations and stuff. In the future, I’ll probably just avoid using the app entirely.
