1. 5/5Revised review— Easy to use, responsive developer

   After paying for a lifetime license, I accidentally deleted my account. I misunderstood the process of recovering my account and out of frustration posted a negative review here. The developer graciously and promptly responded to my review causing me to have a lightbulb moment and realize how easy it was to fix the issue. Accordingly it is only fair that I post a revised review. I chose this app after testing out and discarding many other similar apps on the App Store. This app checked all the right boxes for me— nice aesthetics, ease of use, multiple currencies, informative charts, ability to import data from another app etc. Everything just works, with no glitches. After trying it out for a few minutes, I bought the lifetime license (which I think is pretty reasonable for what it offers) and I haven’t looked back. All was well until, as I said above, I messed up and deleted my account. After I accidentally deleted the account, I again tried to find a replacement app. Discovered that no other app compares so happy that all is well again and look forward to continuing with this app. For anyone who might make the same mistake as me— I was attempting to delete all the data from the app so I could start over. I didn’t realize that by deleting the data I would also delete my account. So when I tried to sign back into the app it didn’t recognize my email address. If that happens to you, just sign up again with the same email address as before and your account will automatically be restored.

2. 1/5Disappointing Experience with Data Synchronization Issues

   I have been a premium user of the Wallet app by BudgetBaker for over a year, and I am extremely disappointed with the persistent issues I have encountered. Despite having a lifetime subscription, the app has consistently failed to sync data between my iOS device and the web app. Every time I log into my account via the web app on Windows, I am prompted to set a base currency and an initial balance as if I am a new user. This has resulted in the loss of access to my records, which is a significant inconvenience. I have contacted Wallet Support numerous times over the past year, and while they have acknowledged the issue and assured me that their team is working on a fix, there has been no resolution. The support team has repeatedly informed me that the developers are addressing the problem, but the lack of any tangible progress has been frustrating. As a premium user, I expected a higher level of service and functionality. The inability to access my financial records across both platforms has severely impacted my ability to manage my finances effectively. I would not recommend this app to anyone seeking reliable data synchronization between devices.

3. 5/5THE BEST budget app hands down

   Truly the best, I track week by week, month by month, and soon year from year. I manually put in everything which took a while (faster on computer) but it’s definitely worth seeing everything, I only recorded up to a certain point because that’s all I needed, can’t worry about the past but only the present and the future. And seeing exactly where my problem areas are (categories) for spending and how much I’m earning helps. Now I can budget REALISTICALLY and not just make estimates on paper because I have real charts and exact numbers and can pinpoint my exact areas needing improvement with the comparison on how much I earned a certain timeframe. Thank you so much. Oh and this is just off the free tip, haven’t paid for the subscription yet but I will soon when I start my business ❤️❤️ daily wallet app user Jade

4. 1/5Worst app and customer service; don’t bother

   DO NOT BUY! Hands down worst app I’ve ever bought. After downloading and testing several budget apps due to Mint ending I had high hopes for Wallet. Seemed simple and straightforward unlike many budgeting app that are overly complicated, convoluted and with busy interfaces. Decided to buy a monthly subscription to begin downloading my info as the free version does not connect to your bank. Paid the fee and could not connect to my Credit Union. Keep getting “bank connection failed error”. I’ve restarted the app and my phone. I’ve tried 4 different days and up to 6 times a day to connect and am unable to access my banking info making this app of zero use. I called my bank to seeing they could help…and were very helpful but the issue is on the app side so they could not fix it. I followed the apps FAQ suggestions and have filed at least 2 requests for help with customer service over a 5 day period and have yet to get any response. Just canceled my subscription. Worst app and hands down worst customer service. Save your time, subscription fee and sanity, don’t bother with this app. Would give a zero star if I could.

5. 2/5Annoying to use

   I had high hopes for this app because I’m tired of manually tracking all of my expenses. But after trying to use this app for a few months I’m going back to manually tracking. First off, the free version doesn’t let you connect bank accounts which was the whole point I got the app. So I payed for wallet premium so I could connect my credit cards and checking account. After connecting my accounts, I started going through and categorizing my expenses 1 by 1. Everything was working pretty well at first. But after a couple of weeks both my credit card and checking account connections had errors. I tried reconnecting them but I kept getting a ‘connection failed’ error. I contacted support and they said to go disconnect the accounts and reconnect them again. This worked which was great. The problem is that all of the transactions from the previous connected accounts were still there so now all of my transactions were doubled up and I had to go through and delete them 1 by 1. Once again my accounts were working and everything was setup. But I checked my account today and both of my accounts have connection errors once again and reconnecting them isn’t working. After 3 tries of hassling with this, I’ve finally given up. I can’t stay with an app that I constantly have to fight to keep working. Also, the app itself keeps signing me out of my account so I have to sign in almost every time I want to check on it so that’s pretty annoying too. Oh, and you can’t connect your brokerage accounts/investment accounts.

   This is hands down the best money management app in the store. Really deserves more than 5 stars. I have a request for investment function please give us the option to compare investment price to buying price instead of comparing it to the market price. thank you and keep up the good work 💯

   The new budget design is confusing. I cannot easily see the remaning amount and the planned payments are not allocated in the diagram anymore.
