1. 3/5Doesn’t pay out

   I started using this app a little over a month ago. Saved up for $5 to PayPal and cashed out. My reward showed “In Review” for three days, then the status went away altogether. I reached out to support and they said “your withdrawal request is currently hidden for security reasons.” I was enjoying this app as a new user but will be leaving this review as 1 star unless and until they actually pay me my reward. UPDATE: I finally recieved my $5 reward after 13 days. Overall, I like the app alot and they actually pay well compared to most other walking apps - I just wish they were telling the truth about redemptions only taking 3 days since that doesn’t seem to be true. Also, support was quick to get back to me when I reached out, but their response made little sense and didn’t give me a time table for when I’d get the money. I’ll continue using this app since they did eventually pay out the first time, but I’m proceeding with caution..

2. 1/5Used to be Great

   I’m giving this app 1 star. I used to be able to walk and earn coins to redeem for gift cards. For several months it was great. Then all of a sudden, the ads to clicking ratio is impossible. For every click to earn coins I get a minimum 30 second ad. I don’t have enough time in the day to ear the 3000 coins for a $5 gift card. Plus, the last couple of times I redeemed my coins for a gift card, the status shows in review and when I reach out to customer service, I’m told my redemption is on hold because of an alleged violation of the redemption terms. But they never explain what that means. I never had any violations before and I haven’t done anything differently. It’s a shame. I will try a couple more times to contact customer service but I will probably delete this app because there are many others that I like and making up violations to avoid paying out gift cards is dishonest.

3. 1/5Scam - and I was thorough

   I downloaded this app to see if it was legitimate. The reviews were good, I had read elsewhere that it was legitimate, so I thought I'd try it. I was already walking, so it seemed like an easy thing to add to my routine. Honestly, if it paid, I would rate this thing five stars today. Yes, the ads are obnoxious, long, and kind of unpredictable, but if it actually paid I think those could be overlooked.....but that's the problem. I submitted my first redemption request 3 months ago (a PayPal gift card). I used their feedback tool to ask about the hold up, and seemingly got a generic response about my redemption getting reviewed for security purposes. lol. Ok. So I waited and asked the next month, then the third. I since have submitted another exemption request and nothing has happened with that. I have no reason to believe that this is anything other than a scam at this point. If you have to wait more than 1/4 of a year, I don't know that it's worth it (and again, not sure if it'll ever go through). This money isn't life changing and certainly shouldn't be relied upon, but it's just the principle - if you can't do the thing you say you do, I don't like it.

   I used this app for a year with no problems cashing out to PayPal. I really didn’t mind watching the ads, because they always paid out. 2 months ago I was having a problem redeeming about $15 in rewards, and kept getting a response about security even though I’ve always used the same email and PayPal. I wrote them that. Finally I got my rewards, and thanked them for their quick help. Tried to cash out another $5 same thing happened. Messaged, and never received it. Then I get a notification that the $5 has been redeemed, and it hasn’t. I go back to the rewards redeemed, and it says it’s been redeemed instead of in review. I never received it. I deleted the app. I really feel like I worked, and got cheated out of my pay. Not about to share my data anymore. They used to be great. Not sure what happened.

5. 1/5Does Not Payout, Support Is Unresponsive

   ⚠️My review will remain as-is unless/until this issue gets resolved.⚠️ I downloaded this app back in August or September of 2025 along with a few other similar apps to see how much I could make from walking. I ended up deleting the other apps since Walk Task seemed to give the most “coins” and show the least number of ads. The app itself is nice (keeps track of steps, nice UI, easy to use, can earn extra coins by completing certain “tiers” of steps walked then watching ads, etc.). However, once it comes time to do the main thing that you downloaded the app for in the first place - cash out - it becomes a scam. After months of using this app, I finally earned enough coins needed to make a $5 PayPal cash out request. When submitting the request on December 11th, the app informed me it may take up to 3 business days to process the cash out - I understood, and was fine with this. Now, here I am 16 DAYS LATER, and my cash out still says “In Review”. I have reached out to support 3 TIMES with NO RESPONSE (messaged them twice in-app, and once via direct email). I have politely explained my situation, provided my information as well as screenshots - but have yet to hear a peep out of them, let alone have my issue resolved. TLDR; After months of using the app, finally earned enough coins to cash out $5. I submitted the payout request, waited the 3 business days for processing, now here I am 16 days later with a pending payout still “In Review”. I have reached out to customer support 3 separate times with no response or acknowledgment. This app appears to be a scam that harvests your data, then ignores you when you’re ready to cash out a few measly dollars.
