  1. 5/5With every step you enhance RPG characters

If you like Final Fantasy and strategic/tactical games, and you want to focus on walking or running more, then this app is the best there is. I have tried other apps. They were either too intrusive, did not track steps accurately, or were just unnecessarily complicated with poor built guidance (like reading an operating manual for a nuclear power plant). This game does nice job of incrementally introducing new ways to enhance your characters through in-game tutorials. As with all RPGs, the battles themselves eventually become redundant. The true sense of satisfaction comes from enhancing your characters through your daily steps, watching ads (not required but will help you advance faster), engaging in various battles types, and joining a guild (online group association with other players). Game tips: Go with a two Mages, one Warlock, and a Priest (can shield against damage and eventually heal) or Knight (can eventually take a continuous beating before dying). Try to acquire special abilities ASAP by getting purple and red glyphs, sets of equipment (green squared items), and evolving to 6 stars. Don’t worry about pets until much more advanced. Use your stamina in the battle map to for the X-10 stages to get the most rewards. Once you have two stars for a stage, you can stop wasting time battling to get the rewards and just do the Loot option instead. Great game overall and highly addictive which is a good thing because it keeps you moving.

  2. 5/5Amazing

Very motivating, not confusing, absolute perfection. Bugs and issues: the taunt ability causes the snowy enemies to attack the warrior AND the back top, which goes against taunt. It also messes with taking damage and animation timing. Also, I built a balanced team that randomly gets wiped by a team of mages and warlocks, so make magic skills less OP. Please. Also make wrath more effective against last stand? And make the rogues survive ability more effective against magic skills. If you fix these issues (I will add more if I find them) it would be absolute gold. New issue: I got the CNY priest robe and loved it. 2 days later I ranked up my priest and the outfit I got from that deleted my CNY robe. I can’t get a new one because it still says I own it so I can’t get it back. PLEASE do something to fix this!!!

  3. 2/5Needs more of a fitness focus. No reason to go over 10k steps

Note: if they could release a more fitness based app, it would be glorious. It won’t give you credit for running. I thought this was about exercising so I was running a bunch until I realized I didn’t get any credit for running. Bummer! This is like a time sink where you spend more time trying to actually be able to progress in the game rather than progress in real life. I deleted and then reinstalled after deleting and emailed the devs before writing my complaints: 1. You don’t get any benefit for doing more than 10,000 steps in a day except for pure aesthetics, which is NOT fitness based. When I first got the game, I was super motivated and doing closer to 20,000 to 25,000 steps a day until I realized that the result and reward were not actually helping me progress. They want your progress instead to be doing like 50 menial things in the app each day to gain just a bit of progress. Frustrating cause if they could make a LITE version where it’s more hardcore fitness based, it would be glorious. 2. If they want to do ads, do ads on stuff that makes sense like the treasure chest for doing your steps. That way you can get extra stuff for the exercise rather than doing all the medial Tedious things in the game. That way they get more ad revenue if you want to do that and you also get more benefit that fills meaningful. 3. They made too much of something into a bad thing. All the side things in the game just feels like you’re playing an idle game like IFK Arena rather than actually doing something fitness related. It’s frustrating because even though I reinstalled it, the game just takes too much time and energy and then you’re wondering why you’re not actually exercising or progressing

  4. 3/5Motivating with several flaws

First off, I truly want to give this app 5 stars. I find the app’s step counter motivating and the gameplay itself to be simple enough to push me to move more in my day. I also like how the ads are integrated, making them optional and not too disruptive. However, there’s several issues that sadly hold this back. The first major problems is connectivity issues with Fitbit. It could be an Apple problem, but I looked online to find a solution and cannot figure out how to have the two apps communicate. Because I have to rely on the iPhone’s flimsy step counter, I cannot get all my walking points. Echoing other people’s comments, there are also way too many currencies and it’s confusing to determine which currency does what. Lastly, there’s also too many disruptive notifications throughout the day to stop what I’m doing and turn on the app, which kind of defeats the purpose of using the app to encourage walking. Hopefully the Dev team can find solutions around these issues, especially the Fitbit Connectivity issue, because this truly is a fun game and makes me want to keep walking.

  5. 2/5Not what I was expecting

For a game that has such high ratings on the IOS platform, I’m quite surprised. This review is after playing the game for 45 minutes. This is a paid game that requires $60 a year to play after the 7 day trial so it isn’t free. Yet I definitely feel like this is a free game with how much I am bombarded by notifications to purchase something in the game. I feel like I have a car salesman breathing down my neck the whole time and it’s quite annoying especially if I’m already paying for the game. The concept of the game is commendable though, I just wish it looked better being this a is a paid game. The dialogue is fine but nothing riveting. I definitely feel like I’m not getting my moneys worth. Even if only 10,000 people subscribe to this game that’s 600K a year. The developers can certainly do better in my opinion. This game has promise but it needs to be refined more and get rid of the constant bombardment of trying to sell things. This is expected from free games but not paid games.
