3/5Maybe I'm using it wrong?
First off, I'm an adult in my early 50s. Secondly, my hearing is not what it used to be when I was younger. I downloaded this app thinking that it would help me modulate my voice to my decrease in hearing acuity? I have this app set up on my M2 Pro Mac mini, because according to the Mac App Store this app would theoretically work. I am using an external microphone with the microphone gain at 100%. Even with these two factors, I can barely move the volume indicator needle on the app even when I am speaking with a vocal volume that other people can hear me with. The prior reviews of this app that I had read, stated that some people had difficulty in getting the app to work correctly. For whatever reason, those prior reviews have disappeared. while I am guessing that this app would work much better if I had put it on my iPhone, I am more inclined to use apps such as these on a full-blown computer rather than on a phone. The fact that this app has not been tested on an apple silicon Mac is not the developer's fault. I place the fault for that squarely on Apple, because they give people like me the false assumption that all iOS apps will just work on Apple silicon.

4/5Great for teaching vocal intensity control
I’ve used this app many times with the children I work with. I like the customization features that allow me to change sensitivity settings. The only change I would like to see added is a bell or vibrate feature when the meter is out of the green zone. Otherwise, great app!

4/5Needed serious adjustment
With sensitivity at 100% and dampening at 0%, I got it to work on my ipad pro 12.9. At default settings, I had to scream at the mic to even register.

Although it takes a bit to get used to the features (dampening, thresholds, and sensitivity), once you get them, the app runs pretty flawlessly. App developer has been awesome at responding to emails and feedback. Excited about the upcoming updates to the app!

1/5uselsss and east of money
What a shame I spent $4.99 on this app which does not work at all despite spending a lot of time playing with the settings. I wish I could get a refund as I feel totally ripped off and mad. The red line moved a tiny bit when screaming into it.

Thanks to all those who have provided such great feedback. The improvements below are a result of us listening to user feedback. Please keep the feedback coming (from inside the app), we want to make it the very best it can be. Adjustment for the Upper and Lower Values of the "Green Area" (the acceptable volume). This now gives the user total control over the sensitivity / performance of the app. Special thanks to Charlotte Rupnow for this suggestion. We have addressed the issue of the app crashing on opening for a small number of users....sorry about that guys! Following user feedback we have increased the size of the animated graphic and added a feature on the iPhone version for the iPhone to (optionally) vibrate, if the maximum threshold value is exceeded for over 4 seconds. We have also included a few bug fixes and optimized the app for the newer Apple devices.
