  1. 4/5Easy to use, works well, but needs some basic features to warrant the price.

Overall, I really like this app. My wife and I recently inherited a lot of records (200+). The snap accurately identified every single record and gave us a rough idea of their value. The value is a guess though. There can be a big difference between pressings and releases. I had a couple that were more valuable, but most were much less valuable reprints. While the app is great at getting records in the UI is not good for organizing 200+ records. I submitted some feature requests, so I’ll give the dev some time and see if it improves. All that being said, I value its simplicity over the much more complicated Discogs app.

  2. 3/5Fantastic concept / falls short as a pricing guide

What a great concept, great idea but needs much work as a pricing guide IMHO as a 50 year record collector. In fairness I cataloged only 40 LP’s, picking out 1st pressings, limited editions, highly collectible hard to find items i.e. Muddy Waters original Chess Record pressing from 1958 listed here for $20 while Discog’s has it priced low end $29, middle $78 and high $127 (when I say hard to find, my edition isn’t even for sale on Discog’s). This example is a pretty consistent of what I saw overall with quite a few seriously underpriced, some were close, not a 1 did I think was overpriced . For me this app has value as a quick guide in a used record store but not much more. My hope is that this app in its infancy will get better as a price guide. If they can pull that off, this could be a great tool

  3. 2/5Okay for Keeping a Collection on a Device

I was somewhat impressed that it was able to identify some of my records, though it misidentified the artist on one out of the 13 I have scanned so far. It’s a good app if you want to have your collection on your mobile device and you don’t want more details than artist and title, such as condition, release version, and runout codes. For that you’d need an app like Discogs, which is free. This would be much more useful if you could enter the record’s condition and get the value based on that. It’s definitely not worth an ongoing subscription fee, but I unfortunately forgot to cancel it before the one-week trial period expired, so now I’ve paid for it for a year, which is what creators of apps like this count on. I don’t even have any further use for it, but that’s on me. Lesson learned. Update after response from the developer: It didn’t identify “most” of my records. It identified 12 out of my 600+ records and misidentified one. I fell for the suggestion of trying to request a refund, only to be told that I don’t have any purchases that are eligible for a refund. For wasting my time and making me think they might be magnanimous about my lack of diligence in canceling my trial in time, I took off a star.

  4. 3/5Confused ?

So I’m using my the app taken a pic of all the vinyls I have an I’m not even halfway done ! Now on advertising video I see it shows the guy selling the vinyls after he takes a pic! Well be taken hella pics and got priced for them and it seems reasonable to the price! How and Where do I sell them tho or is this just an all that shows you the price of what it’s worth and then we have to go sell em on our own which is a complete waste of time cause if could take god knows how long if ever to sell these vinyls at the prices thsi app says the are worth! Is it because I’m using the trial that I can’t sell them yet or what please let me know cause if it just shows market value and that’s it then this is not worth subscribing to unless this app lets us sell them on there

  5. 4/5Soo far…

Doing the 7day trial, like the app so far, but needs a better way of correcting info for us 80/90s DJs who have tons of White Labels promos, Test Press, Acetate. Would prefer if the valuation be near Discog since that’s site been around and basically the Gold standard for valuation and history tracking on bought and sold records. Not a big fan of subscription model so if this app would consider lifetime purchase at a reasonable price, I’d would do it. Also like how Discog will let you printout/download your collection PDF/excel/sheet form so hopefully these small thing are added later on.
