   I really appreciate how convenient the app is. Being able to schedule your payments without the immediate need of a representative or automated system is 10/10. In hopes of seeing the growth in Upstart. I would make some adjustments to how long it takes the pending payment to withdraw. 7 days is excessively long especially with all the advancements in technology currently. With that, I believe with this change it would take less stress off the loan holders and introduce a more populous interest in the company itself for future loan holders.

2. 1/5Stay FAR away!

   This company is the worst loan company ever. They may give you a loan but you NEVER get the whole sum. That was just one bad part about this company. If you apply and get a loan, they keep something back for themselves and call it an "origination fee." What it REALLY is is an extortion fee. I applied, got 1700 dollars, they pocketed 200 of it and gave me 1500. Not only do they pocket it, YOU have to pay that back! You don't even see it and yet you have to pay it back! Extortion at its best. Not only that but I didn't need the loan because I went through my bank instead and my bank didn't charge me an extortion fee. What I applied for I got. Hats off to my honest bank. I couldn't cancel the loan as the loan was already on its way but customer service told me that if I sent the loan back then they would waive the extortion fee most likely since I paid off the loan early. I sent the loan back, paid it off early, same day that I got the money. Did they close out the account and honor their customer service reps word? NOPE! I still owe 208 dollars, the extortion fee. I've been in touch with the company and they said that I still owe the 208 and that they refuse to waive it. This company is the worst company ever and I will never apply for another loan through them again. I shared a message like this one on TrustPilot to spread the word about their shady business tactic and how they just don't care about you and will not honor what they promised. Stay far away from this company. Go through your bank or a credit union. That's your best bet for a loan. This company is shady and a bunch of thieves.

3. 2/5Exhaust other options before you choose one with a high interest rate.

   I understand times are hard, I get you need the help, but try to exhaust all options before you choose a loan servicer with such high interest rates. If you’re laid off, that won’t matter. If you need a financial hardship plan for a couple months, the following payment amounts will be crucial. Look at other opportunities, pick up a grocery store job, dash some food, anything before you sign on that line with Upstart. They will approve you, but it’s a DAILY accrued interest. You can sign for 8k, but by the time you pay it off you would have paid them 3-4x that amount. That’s a loan shark. It’s greed. Just be prepared if this is your only option. Best of luck.

4. 5/5An actual company willing to give and actual loan

   Best loan company I’ve used by far got an actual rate for a loan in the middle of the night and was able to complete it all through their website without ever once talking to a person in the middle of the night at that. As a night shift worker with pretty poor credit can’t recommend them enough. I also received my loan within two days of completing the application again I didn’t have to talk to a single person to do it all 10/10 service.

5. 1/5Frustrated

   This could have been the perfect transaction but it’s fallen short of that. I applied, was approved and took care of the paperwork online. A few days later, 3 or 4, the money hit my account. Pretty close to a 5 star transaction EXCEPT I want to make a payment for half the balance due and can’t. Correspondence in email from you says Upstart/Pathward, the links you send go nowhere (page not found), Upstart app and website don’t find my loan, Pathward, same thing. “Online Help” tells me step by step how to make an additional payment but my loan seems to not exist. $15 extra dollars was taken by you and you don’t show it as received while you continue to ask for it. I press the link in text messages and get “page not found”. Ugh!
