5/5Update: Amazingly fun turn based boxing game that will keep you entertained and deserves more love
Update: A few months ago I reviewed this game and gave it 3 stars, primarily due to a fun gameplay loop that was hurt by bad UI. Since then, I spent time learning the UI, mechanics, and understanding the game more. The developer also made awesome updates along the way that significantly improved the experience. I am very happy to say this game is amazingly fun and has potential to be huge in my opinion. New users may be a little overwhelmed at first, but once you learn how the game functions it is super fun. I recommend this to anyone who likes boxing, turn based games, sports career games, or someone who wants to kill time. Original review: The core gameplay loop of recruiting boxers, fighting with them, upgrading, etc is good. But the games UI is horrible. The details in fights don’t fit on the screen, the layout outside of fights is unintuitive and doesn’t guide you well. This wouldn’t be a problem if there wasn’t an absurd amount of words to explain everything. If this game gets the UI updated and becomes more friendly to players, it could be an amazing time killer game

5/5DnD mechanics plus boxing = fun
I’m not a huge fan of boxing. I am however, a huge fan of phone games that go above and beyond the norm. In this game, you have dicerolls, combined with your skills AND stats, to determine the outcome of every move. You run your gym and train up and choose skills for your boxers, which drastically effect how they are played. You can customize your boxers to your hearts desire. The creator is on discord and extremely receptive to suggestions. THERE ARE ZERO ADS. You basically get the full game for free, you can spend some cash for more boxer spaces and extra perks if you enjoy it but it’s not needed at all. The dev has a passion for his game and it really shows. This game is really a rare gem in almost all aspects. The only real flaw, is that the UI could use some improvement. But when the gameplay keeps me coming back every single day, it’s just a small gripe. 4.8 out of 5 stars. Definitely give this game a shot.

4/5Great game with a few issues
First off, this game is great — a ton of fun and the little Easter egg characters have a Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out vibe. I’m personally enamored with adjusting/combining boxer perks to find the best for each boxer to use. Now I play primarily using “free will” (great name for auto mode) and have found that with the combat speed set to 5x, the game breaks in ways that make it seem like something is causing the turn order to overlap, which sometimes results in my boxer getting a decision win when it shouldn’t (before the end of a match/round) or my boxer getting knocked out when it’s still standing. The most frustrating of the bugs is my boxer dying from this — I’ve had a few boxers go 27-0 and their first loss is a death attributed to them instead of their opponent who actually has the filled death meter. I thought maybe switching apps or answering messages from the banner preview was causing this until it happened on its own once. Two solid quality of life additions: first would be a running log of how perks affect different parts of your boxer. Total damage/accuracy increases/decreases and what punches/body parts they affect would be great. Second, some way to affect fighter “personalities” in auto mode. For example, if I choose a perk where my boxer gets 25% more damage fighting inside, they will become more aggressive about getting inside and use hooks and uppercuts more. Or if I choose many countering perks, the boxer will let their opponent come to them more. Overall worth the money spent and the dev seems to care about improving the game (last update was a day ago) so I’m looking forward to the fixes and to see how this game evolves. (:

5/5Is this game your mom?
because I am astonished by the depth and I can’t get off of it. this game is a ton of fun, and wholly unique. the AI is intelligent, so allowing your fighters to fight automatically is a viable method if you don’t wish to engage directly with the fighting mechanics. even with autofight on, fights are tense as just a couple of devastating blows can result in a fighter dying in the ring. Plenty of content is available for free, but the $8 upgrade was so worth full access.

5/5Underrated Boxing Sim/Strategy
Pros: -Fun unique perk synergies -Easy to learn moveset/tactics -Addicting gameplay loop -Solid opponent progression -No secondary monetary currency (gold/credits) -Good usable strategies in between rounds -Funny/Quirky character design and announcer voice Cons: -Questionable sim moves -Lack of gym progression -Talent scouting is weak -Random crashes -Custom fighter has random talents -$10 price tag for full game -Low quality U.I. I believe the game could use a few more perks, ai sim improvements, plus a slight price decrease to $6-$8 bucks and this game would be a true diamond in the rough on the App Store. For a independent game this thought out is 5 stars regardless
