  1. 4/5Worked better before update

I loved this app and planned on writing a glowing review... until the update. The recent update removed the expectation for each exercise (e.g. 45 seconds or 10 reps each leg) - it is now all based on time, which only becomes apparent if you “begin workout” and severely limits self-pacing. Also, the videos won’t load at all. I work out at a gym without WiFi or phone coverage, so I’m sure that has something to do with it, but the new design really hurts the whole interaction. I have even tried loading the videos at home with WiFi and the program appears to try to load it but won’t. Bottom line - you broke an awesome app that’s pretty expensive. Please fix!

  2. 3/5It’s just OK

The app does not seem to fit the price point that this system goes for. The app is lazy. Improvements needed: 1.) The length settings needs to be associated to the exercise on the work out page. The fact that you have to stop, pickup your phone, click the exercise to get to the adjustment and position is ridiculous. Give us a letter or an abbreviation or even a color system to go off of for adjustments. They need to be quick and efficient and right now it’s clunky. 2.) This is targeted towards military personnel? So me being in the Army there have been plenty of times when I was not allowed to have my phone, yet they no longer offer a hard copy of the work outs? I would at least like to see a printable PDF by week offered in references on the app. 3.) I would like to see the auto progression have an animation for each of the movements. Again this goes back to my previous statement. You should just be able to set your phone up, press do workout and everything you need to see should be on one screen, no clicking or scrolling just a one pager where the info is presented. In closing this whole app needs an overhaul. Does it get the job done? Yes. Could it be more efficient in the way information is presented? Yes? Is the app lazy compared to other workout apps? Yes. Does it need a redesign for the price ? Absolutely!

  3. 4/5Nothing to complain

This app is very clear and helpful for beginners....everything will be explained step by step to prevent faulty moves... Don't expect that the app will train for you. However it gives you an idea, what you're able to do with your body, without using a gym. I always looking for plans for training which are relatively usable for a daylong workout or a lunch break...and here it is... Easy to setup the try and just push a button on your phone...thank you trx guys for that app... B.t.w. Very friendly customer support!!!

  4. 5/5Satisfied customer

After purchasing the app I looked everything over. Two weeks in I realized it included the pull up improvement program! How in the heck I missed that I'll never know. Being new to suspension trainers I took a leap of faith with this app. I like the format that the program lays out for you to follow. Being able to preview the exercise video directly from the program helps when you're not sure what you are supposed to do. Looking forward to completing the entire program and checking my fitness levels after! To me it was worth the price paid.

  5. 1/5Give back the old TRX!

Give us back the old TRX! The new update is simply terrible. It seems like the creators took out all the things that made the app easy to use and added everything to make it as inefficient as possible. 1) no more previews of how long a workout is going to take Sometimes it is nice to be able to pick and choose your workout based on how much time you have that day- 30 min or 50 min but now the feature is gone and you have to guess 2) constant timer means no time to reset your straps, or skip exercises. Very frustrating when you need just a few more sec to set your straps, or you just want a few sec to pause for water. The other problem is that for example you have an injury and let’s say you cannot do one of the exercises. Before the app would let you start each exercise on your own terms and skip the ones you want. Now you have to scroll forward through all the exercises in the set to get back to your place 3) bugs everywhere- the timers keep acting up- sometimes they skip, fast forward, stop for no reason Overall extremely frustrating app to use right now. I wish I could revert back

This update from Apple will improve the functionality of this app. No new features are included. Choose between the original workout flow where you manually progress from exercise to exercise, or Auto-Advance where the workouts come to life (for both the 12 Week Program and the Pull-up Program). Auto-Advance Mode: • Each workout has timed sets for each exercise with rest and transition time built in. For rep-based movements you manually advance once the reps are completed. In your settings, you can adjust: • the amount of time per exercise • the amount of time between each exercise • the amount of extra time for transitions between standing to floor, or vice versa, movements Fixes issues with video playback.
