5/5Love the Planning, Just Wish the Tips were Better
I’ve been really enjoying using Trovelo as a private trip planner—it’s super helpful having everything organized in one place. The interface feels clean and modern, and it’s pretty easy to move around different sections. Planning trips feels way less stressful and actually kind of fun because of it. One thing I think could be improved though is the travel tips (and destinations) section. Right now, it feels a bit limited and hard to notice in the app. I’d love to see more useful, location-based tips—like local customs, safety advice, budget hacks, or just those “good to know” things when traveling. It would be even better if these tips popped up naturally while planning, like suggestions or prompts as you build your itinerary. Making them more interactive and easier to access would really level up the experience. Overall, Trovelo already has a really solid foundation and is easy to use. I’m excited to see how it grows and improves over time!

5/5Great alternative to other travel planners
I’ve been really happy with this app so far. It feels like it’s still growing and improving, but doesn’t feel unfinished in spite of that. The developer has been really responsive to feedback. I let him know something wasn’t working right and literally the next day an update came out to fix it. It’s got a very simple setup and design, but still has a lot of details. The way it’s all laid out on a map is great for planning purposes. I would like to see some way of adjusting the time between locations to reflect public transportation versus walking. Great app!

I love this app for planning trips. Has a great day count down feature and I love the map for planning. Maybe the feature is there and I’m just not seeing it, but would love to add my spouse to the app and share the trips natively

Love how I can just type out my vacation plans naturally and watch the app instantly turn them into a gorgeous mapped out itinerary with a built in budget tracker.

This seemed like it was going to be a great app but not being able to share it with my travel companion so they can edit means it’s not really useful for me. It has a lot a great features and if the ability to share/edit becomes available I will give it a try again.

- Choose how you get from stop to stop: walking, driving, or public transit — just tap the minutes chip between two cards. - New "Automatic" mode (the default): the app keeps picking for you based on distance, same as before. - The trip map draws each leg according to its chosen mode, with real public-transit times where Apple has data. - If public transit isn't available in the area, the leg automatically falls back to the distance-based estimate. - On Mac, the transport picker is also in the day board, and your choice syncs between iPhone and Mac via iCloud. - New setting to show or hide completed cards on the trip map — routes automatically re-connect around hidden stops. - Upgraded currency engine with support for many more currencies and fresher exchange rates.

If you set dinner at 10:00 PM, it stays 10:00 PM whether you're home or already at your destination. • Set a default way to get around for each trip — public transport, walking, or driving — instead of changing every leg by hand. Set it once in the trip's settings (and app-wide in Settings). • Longer travel times now read as hours and days ("15 h 5 min", "1 d 2 h") instead of a giant minute count. • Bug fix - Smarter trip dates: typing something like "Aug 1 to Aug 4" now creates the right dates instead of a full week.
