  1. 5/5Convenient for shuttle info

I really enjoy tripshot- we use it for our company shuttles, and it’s so helpful to have this information at my fingertips to see where shuttles are- when they will be arriving, various stops, etc. I live within distance of a few of our different routes, so it’s especially handy for switching between timetables if I miss the shuttle I was intending to take. I like the UI and the different route/departure information the best!

  2. 1/5Hey Google: stop using TripShot for GBuses

Search results highlight the most convoluted possible routes. Hey y’all, if there are buses that go directly from my bus stop to my destination, I want to know about those. I don’t really care that I also have the option to walk 15 minutes to another stop, then take three separate buses to get to my destination. (I am not exaggerating - this is the top result of my search.) I also don’t want a result for every bus stop on a given line within a mile radius. I picked a stop. That’s the one I want to board at. Also, if a route involves walking to stop, it isn’t clear if the start time is when I start walking, or when I get on the bus. I honestly cannot find this information. In other words, this app spectacularly fails to deliver the most basic functionality. Doesn’t help that two buses never materialized and I ended up standing outside for 45 minutes, but even if that part isn’t TripShot’s fault, I still give the app 1 star. Another reviewer described this app as a constant uphill battle. I couldn’t have said it better. Can we ditch TripShot and use Transit instead?

  3. 1/5Horrendous routing

Microsoft please stop using Tripshot. What a horrendous route that tripshot generates! Cab will pick me up from my home that’s a mile away in MTV, from the MTV office, take me 4 miles to Sunnyvale, bring me back the same route back to the intersection where I live and then to the office. So a rider boards the cab, is driven away from work by 4 miles opposite direction? While the route could have been such that cab picks me while returning from Sunnyvale, rather than tug me along from the city where I and my workplace is to another city and back. Been reporting this for 2 years and always surprised at this routing algorithm that’s just non-sensical. We fear AI will take our jobs but these archaic algorithms could really use AI help or apps that have more logical routing algorithms will replace such apps sooner or later. This, after all these years of giving this detailed a feedback! I don’t think anyone even looks at this feedback, let me may be review on the app store!

  4. 1/5Annoyed with inefficient routing

My company uses tripshot for shuttle service to commute to work. The evening shuttle route to go back home is very inefficient. Even if no one is getting down at a particuler stop, it takes everyone on the shuttle to that stop. This makes no sense as everyone on the shuttle ends up wasting time. In our case its adds delay of about 30mins. Its a bummer to work for a tech company and relying on such poor navigation to commute to work. I have brought this to the notice of commute team and the explanation received from Tripshot is that for the ETA to be correct the shuttle needs to go to every single stop on the route even if no one is getting down. Who cares about ETA if everyone is reaching home 30mins late. Hope tripshot can correct this. Another area in which tripshot can improve its suggest routes based on ridership data. The route should be optimized for stops where more riders are getting down.

  5. 2/5You may want to try your best to avoid this app and service

I had an extremely frustrating experience using TripShot for the WeDriveU shuttle from Harvard Square to Watertown Mews. I arrived at the designated pickup spot at 3:43 PM — about 15 minutes early — and waited until 4:00 PM, but the shuttle never showed up. Despite this, the app marked the shuttle as having already arrived and departed. I know I was standing in the correct location because I stayed there and was successfully picked up later by the next shuttle driver. When I called customer support, the supervisor insisted their records and bus camera footage showed the driver had arrived and stopped. However, when I asked whether the footage showed me waiting there, I was told the camera only captures the front of the bus, not the side pickup area. That raises an obvious question: if they can’t verify whether passengers were actually boarded, how can they confidently dismiss rider complaints? While waiting, I realized the pickup location was at an active bus stop, so it’s entirely possible the driver temporarily moved to avoid blocking another bus without any communication to riders. If that’s the case, there was: - No clear or reliable pickup coordination - No rider communication plan - No meaningful troubleshooting support - No app safeguard to ensure passengers are actually picked up Instead, I was left stranded for 45 minutes despite arriving early and following instructions, only to be told the system showed everything was fine. This experience exposed serious flaws in TripShot’s reliability, rider communication, and accountability. If these issues aren’t addressed, other passengers will likely face the same avoidable problem.
