1. 5/5Fantastic App for Bicycle Touring!

   I highly recommend TrackMyTour for anyone contemplating remote travel, whether by foot, by motorcycle, or by bicycle. TrackMyTour is free; it’s small and simple; it uses incredibly little battery power; it allows you to submit customizable waypoints complete with weather info, activity type (picnic, shopping, point of interest, etc.), time and date, location, written descriptions, and photographs; it allows you to save “offline” waypoints and upload them later (when you get cell service again); and it lets you create a private link to be shared with family and friends so they know you’re still alive. Anyone who has the link can observe your progress and even comment on your tour. If you want to upload more and larger photos, you can upgrade to the “premium” version for a one-time payment of less than $20. This is my go-to app for my bicycle tours, and I enthusiastically recommend it for anyone contemplating long-distance travel. No complaints whatsoever!

2. 5/5A great example of what an iOS app should be

   This is a wonderful app. It does one thing - lets you take photos of things you see on your trip and add captions to them. It can then display those photos in order in either a list or on a map. There are interfaces to see the photos in iOS and also in a browser. A link for each specific trip is provided so that you can share the trip with friends and family or your network. It is very easy to add waypoints, which is what the photos are called, and you can add optional data such as the weather or type of point. And if the camera didn't capture the map location correctly, there is an easy way to fix it. These single purpose apps are what iOS is built for, and track my tour is a great example of how to do it right. Kudos and thanks to everyone involved in making and supporting this app.

   This is one of my go to apps on my phone. It makes documenting a trip incredibly easy. On a recent tour I was on, I showed about half the folks and they jumped on it. Some of them loved being able to geolocate their pictures, others loved being able to record notes about specific locations, others loved that they don’t have to spend days at home trying to remember what photos were of to make their trip book. We use it to keep friends and family updated on our travels. The we look back to answer the “have we been here?” and “where did we do?” questions. Basically, you can make it work however you want to use it.

   This is a really great app. We have been tracking our trips since 2013 when I learned about the app in the Sunday Magazine in the paper. We and our friends and relatives have enjoyed using the app. Last night our new trip got deleted somehow and Christopher came to our rescue and restored our trip in just minutes, that is customer service! Love it, love it! It is now 2022 and we are still using and loving this app. We use it often to show and share photos from past visits, and of course to document our current trips. Definitely a 5Star application.

5. 5/5Not Happy. Now I’m happy

   I bought the app several years ago to get full use of features. Now they upgraded and want me to pay an annual fee to use it, and took away the features I already paid for! Updated! App creator replied that since I paid for the subscription I get a lifetime subscription and showed me how to update it. So happy because I really like this app for our road-trips. Friends and family all want pics and updates as to where we are, and with this app they can follow us without me sending out dozens of emails.
