   I needed an app to calculate my spending on my grocery run at multiple grocery stores. Since I’m on a fixed income I have to make sure I’m not overspending. I downloaded this app and from the minute I started using it I fell in love with it. You put in the name of the item, the price, and the quantity. When you add it the app makes the sound the scanner makes at the checkout stand. Initially the app won’t let you do quantities higher than one which makes you have to list multiple of the same item separately. I recommend spending the $1.99 or whatever the price is and upgrade the app. It will do bigger quantities and other help do stuff like adding in the sales tax for your state. The upgrade cost is really cheap and worth it. When your done using it at the store you can save what you did as a lost or receipt so down the road you can keep track of what you spent at the store and what items you got. Great for referencing what the price of an item you bought was. Finally, I want to tell you after this long review (sorry), that this app is worth it. Download it and see how much it helps you. One plus is I haven’t seen a noticeable bug for this app which is rare these days.

2. 5/5Suggestions: Tax rate & Scanner

   I haven’t been able to use the app yet, I will change my star review after. ———I just want to make a suggestion. Add an editable field on the TAX RATE. I’m in Georgia, and the tax on food is 4%. But the app says 7% and there’s no way to change it. For now I have had to use Hawaii, as that is the closest to the percentage I need. ———-(PS, I read through a lot of the comments and love how you have been taking for use your feedback to improve your product. It’s very heartening to see that! Many of the things people ask for are things that I would’ve asked for. It’s a shame scanning is problematic, but the reasons you stated make perfect sense. ———I think if you implemented a SCANNER such as you can get with ‘my fitness pal’, MFP, you could let people scan the item itself, which would auto-populate the name and details of the product, but the user could add in the price at the store they are at) Thanks! :) EDIT: typo:On the rename list screen, the rename button is misspelled. 2nd EDIT: played around with app, it is DOPE. Love it!

   I downloaded this app a couple of years ago, but never used it because I thought it would be fiddly trying to use it while shopping for groceries. Well this past Friday, I decided to finally use it, and it worked really well. Was easy to use. Only advice I would give is don’t keep the calculator up on your phone once you enter an items price on the calculator. Because when I was shopping, I kept accidentally hitting my phone. causing numbers to come up on the calculator. It didn’t add to my total. I could erase it. You can keep the app open and active just don’t have it on your main screen except when you’re needing to enter in prices. Not apps fault, my fault lol. Great app. Thank you.

   I think the app has great potential and the first (and only) time it calculated my total to within a dollar of what it really was (we have two tax rates for different types of items and I haven't figured out which rate goes with which item yet so I used the recommended tax rate for my state). BUT I'm not able to save individual items with their prices. The reusable items list doesn't give me a place to manually add and save a price. when I add an item to my cart from the list, I have to take an extra step and update the price, and it still doesn't show in the total price. So does that mean I'll have to type in an add each item and price every time I get groceries? The saved list tab works, but I don't buy exactly the same items every week. It'd be nice to be able to build a database of all the items I've bought with their prices and then click-to-add them to my cart. Otherwise the app is too tedious to use and I won't be buying the upgraded version.

5. 5/5Life saver for mom buying for family of 8

   Just get it now! You know the times that you’re using your phone’s calculator to keep a rolling total at the grocery store? Especially since prices have duplicated everywhere? How many times have you accidentally erased the total or added something incorrectly? This app has saved me so much money since having it installed. As a single mom, unfortunately I can’t afford pro. Which. I wish I could because of the amount of items being limited and having a large family; but I’m grateful to the developers for keeping the invasive ads off of this program. I have shared this app with everyone I know. Maybe the most useful application on my phone! Ideas for future updates: Allow users to print off previous shopping trips as an inventory sheet to go on the fridge/cabinet-Allowing family members to check off items as they are used for a quick reference of what’s needed at the store in the future. If there is a way to log into grocery store apps , therefor allowing the automation of coupon attaching virtually-That would be very useful. Thank you!
