  1. 5/5Love this app! One problem though

I got this app a couple of years ago when I wanted to listen to music. It's been pretty reliable and dependable when you can shuffle and repeat entire playlists you made. This might be a small gripe, but that is what I'm on about; the latest update won't let me repeat an entire playlist, only the song that I just heard. Plus the shuffling of the songs, let's say you pick the last song in the group, when it ends you'd expect it to pick a random song from the list. In this update, the last song on the list is the last song on the list; you need to manually start the playlist over. It's like I said, a menial gripe but I would think other people who use this app would appreciate this small change.

  2. 3/5Amazing file manager and music player, but not quite perfect

Edit: August 8th, 2024 the issue persisted the whole day today. I’ve been getting the popup to buy the $4.99 full version again, despite me having bought it already. I’ll have to cut losses and move on to a different app. Edit: July 31st, 2024 I’ve got my support ticket about the issue resolved just yesterday. The pop ups and unresponsive buttons have been fixed. I’ll give the app a 4/5 for what it’s intended, but not a full 5 star because of the lack of transparency of the issue from the devs. 3 weeks since the last update prior yesterday wasn’t a great experience. Edit: July 15th, 2024 I’ve been receiving pop ups telling me to purchase the full version, when in fact I’ve already paid for the full version. There needs to be transparency whether or not this is a bug or intentional, because it’s getting annoying and I can’t do anything about the pop ups from reappearing now. Edit: January 19th, 2022 The app is still great, but the new update is buggy, and I can’t click on support request to request help. The video player is delayed between pausing and resuming, and the skip 10 second feature is buggy. However, they’re minimal in relative to what I like about the app. I’m writing this for the devs to take notice. I’ve used this for two years and I’ve bought the no-ads since the app was promising ad I’ve loved it. Using it as a music player was great! I have multiple playlist and its easy to find a specific song using the advance search this app has. If I could make a small suggestion, personally I would love to see mp3 music have its image be portrayed fully instead of a small square bubble.

  3. 4/5Reliable, But With a Big Problem, Now

I’ve had this app for a while now, and it has been wonderful. It has done all I needed it to do efficiently and effectively. However, as of the update that changed the interface, playlists can no longer be rearranged. It is far from the worst thing to happen, but it is inconvenient to need to temporarily reorganize via the player list. Although the updates are rare, the version that came out shortly before my editing of this review fixed one of my major problems, so the makers seem to at least be attempting to genuinely improve. In addition to music, he app is also good for storing PDFs and other such files, although it is not capable of universal reading. The app has been reliable and good enough in the past to warrant downloading the app free, first. If you enjoy it, keep it. If you do not, and you haven’t bought it yet, you’re not out anything. I hope to see improvements, designers, I really do like your app.

  4. 2/5Greed seems to be gettin to the devs

Edit 3: App started overheating my phone, and randomly restarting, stopping my music playlists. No other app does this so it’s just this one. Edit 2: Same problem as before. Music being cut short in the middle of the night just to have a big ol “upgrade to the pro version” ad pop up when I unlock my phone. I reiterate: a feature that was free is now being slowly limited to push us, the consumers, to pay for the upgrade. Ruining my sleep schedule yet again… Your “Watch a video or ad to have no interruptions for 48 hours” system is also not working at all by the way. No ad or video pops up and all I can do is accept or save the settings. Edit: Seems they fixed the constant interruptions with a recent update. Well done. I’m going to leave my previous review up simply as a reminder to any dev of what not to do. Still can’t click on songs/folders sometimes tho. Tsk tsk tsk. A feature that was free, listening to music without interruptions, is now a paid requirement and only for 48 hrs. Givin me a pop up every 30 mins to upgrade to the pro version while I’m listening to music, with my wifi and data turned off, is a big no no. It’s gotten to the point where it’s ruining my sleep schedule. My body is used to having music play all throughout the night but since it’s only every 30 mins now, it reacts whenever my music stops playing, causing me to constantly wake up. This all started recently due to your greedy changes. Why do some of you devs feel the need to tarnish your reputation? I’ve also been having a random bug where I just can’t click on my folders/songs after awhile. Only fix for this is restarting the app.

  5. 5/5Not a fan of the new update

Ok, I had previously written a bad review because I wasn’t able to do many of the things that older versions allowed. However, after a lot of poking and exploring the app, I’ve found that the functionality I’m used to is still there, albeit in different places. This app has undergone a MASSIVE redesign and I think that’s what is throwing people off. It’s difficult to get used to, if you used TDownloader for any length of time. I’m giving it four stars because while it stills does everything I need, it desperately needs a proper users manual instead of a FAQ. Not that anyone will read it...
