  1. 5/5Easy Ordering

The app is a great way to get your favorite tacos delivered to your door. It is easy to use, with a simple interface that allows you to quickly find your nearest location and place an order. The menu is well organized, with all the options clearly visible on one page. Once you've made your selection, you can customize it to your preferences with a few taps. The checkout process is easy and secure, and the app even remembers your payment information for future orders. All in all, the Torchy's app is an excellent way to get your tacos quickly and conveniently. Highly recommended!

  2. 2/5Missing necessary features

I have on multiple occasions ordered from the wrong location because the app automatically chooses a location for you without asking if that is the correct location. Even though it has my address in the app it does not chose the location closest to my house, it just chooses whatever one it wants too. There is also no option to set a “home restaurant” location like almost every other restaurant app. All this has caused me to order from a location I have not been too in almost a year. There is no cancellation button either, so I am forced to call the store and explain what happened and ask for a refund. If I do not realize this in time I could be waiting at the wrong store for 20 minutes and have to either reorder at the location near me or ask for a refund and go somewhere else. For an app that looks good and runs fast, it sure is made poorly.

  3. 2/5Get your food LATER with this app!

I used the app and ordered at 6:35. It said it would be ready at 7:30, with no option to make it earlier. I show up at the (half empty) restaurant at 7:15, and the cashier tells the person in line ahead of me that the food they just ordered would be ready in “10-15 minutes”. She tells me “My order is still in the kitchen, and probably hasn’t been started since it’s scheduled for 7:30”. I asked if I’d called in, would it have been faster? They said in that case, the kitchen would get/start it as soon as they could, so probably 10-20 minutes after I called (a half hour sooner). So… if you want to schedule getting your food for a particular time, an hour or more in advance, then fine, use the app. If you want your food ASAP, then AVOID THIS APP! Very frustrating, but a learning experience.

  4. 3/5“Fixing” what ain’t broke

Far too many taps to get my order completed… this app is super inefficient when it comes to putting an order together. Looms pretty, but it could really use a UX design review stat. A few things as a UX design consultant I’d normally charge to bring up in a proper audit but I found this to be so frustrating I just wan it to be fixed. The logo screen that shows when adding a taco to my order was really jarring. The categories aren’t as efficient as the list from the old app, a lot of back and forth… still can’t add instructions like “light on cheese please” in a text field… my biggest gripe was Apple Pay integration though. It’s clunky. I went to use it, and landed on the SAME section, and was asked to “confirm order” before the payment processed and I got my order confirmation. Literally the only app that’s ever done that. Why? Also… very small thing, but EVERY taco has the tortilla option list in a slightly different order and it’s always tripped me up. A full redesign, yet none of this was noticed or addressed. Cmon.

  5. 1/5They locked out a bunch of old users

They changed their password requirements so you now have to have a capital letter. Fine, whatever. It’s more secure. The problem is, anyone who didn’t do that back when it wasn’t a requirement now can’t log in. Even if you are logged into the app on an old device, you can’t change your password, because that feature doesn’t let you enter your old password since it doesn’t fit the NEW requirements. You also can’t sign up fresh unless you use a different email account. You can’t contact the company on the website to report this bug since you can only the stores, who can’t do app tech support. So I guess this bug will hang around unless a dev checks this review. Sorry for the one star review if so, but maybe either test your updates before going live.
