3/5My favorite UI, card view is great, now stable, missing features
It was slow and buggy in the past but it has improved. They are also supporting android, so it is good if you want a consistent experience across devices. Slower than native apps. Interstellar may be the better crossplatform option now, this doesn't get updated frequently and still has missing features like dming that all other apps have. I use voyager now. To be fair, they are pushing an update soon that adds dms and I will update my review then.

2/5It’s OK
It has some quirks that make it annoying to deal with. It doesn’t load videos very well in-app. It will show the same set of posts in the same order again (I want to say 6 posts but I don’t have an actual count). It is also very aggressive about sending you back to the beginning of the feed which you have already seen. I am aware of the option to hide viewed posts but that doesn’t feel right. I was writing a lengthy comment and wanted to verify something on Wikipedia quick. When I went back into the app, it showed the comment for a split second then booted me back to the beginning. No draft, and now I can’t even find the post since the search doesn’t work all that well. I’ll be looking for a new app

5/5Fav Lemmy Client!
Looking for open source Lemmy clients, I've tried all the usual suspects. Thunder works best for me by far. Some of the view defaults were originally kinda weird for me, but were easily customizable to my liking. Great job, Devs!

5/5Just tested it out and works great so far :)
Trying this out as a popular FOSS alternative to voyager. Seems great so far. How a lot of customizations. All the bad reviews seem to be from a year ago.

2/5Wish I could like it
This seems very buggy on iPad. Touchpad scrolling is wildly inaccurate. The app suddenly stops recognizing up or down votes. Replying to comments is cumbersome at the UI level. I wish I could like this app in its current condition.

0.2.5
This release includes many additions, tweaks and fixes. General - Lemmy 0.19.x support is now available on Thunder. This will allow for a smooth transition experience once the official Lemmy 0.19.x update is released. This also means that instance blocking and the new sort types are available to use for instances running on 0.19.x. - More language localizations. Thanks to the community, there have been a ton of localization done on Thunder. This includes initial support for Norwegian Bokmål, Spanish, Polish, Ukrainian, Finnish, and Swedish. If you want to contribute towards additional languages, feel free to reach out on GitHub or our Matrix space. - Overall UI and UX improvements across the board including post title suggestions when creating a new post with an external URL, post and comment actions on long-press menu, trending communities on the Search page, and so much more. Performance - The feed page has been reworked from the ground up to provide you with a smoother and hopefully more seamless experience. This is a more under-the-hood change so you may not notice much change to the overall visuals. Features - Anonymous profiles are now available. This allows you to add an instance and browse that instance without having to create an account or log in. To do this, simply tap on "Add Anonymous Instance" on the profile selection page and enter in the instance of your choice. - The search page has now been revamped to include even more options, including users, posts, comments, and links. Additionally, you can adjust the sort type and the feed type to better narrow your search results. - New sharing options for posts. When sharing posts, you now have the ability to customize what you want to share. You can share the link, the media, title, and so much more.
