  1. 3/5Good idea, way too much clicking

The idea is to record thumbs up and thumbs down for child’s behavior and tie it to a goal or incentive. This is a tried and true method for kids behavior management. The app looks great and is fun to use but takes too long for a busy teacher or parent imo. For instance, to give a thumbs up, I have to open the app, click on the kid I want to record for (even if they’re the only kid registered btw), click on a cartoon icon of a monster’s thumbs up, click on my reason for the thumbs up, and then one more screen to choose some other useful options, that’s 5 clicks for one thumbs up if you skip all the extra options. It would be much better if once you opened the app there was a list down one side of thumbs up reasons and a list down the other side of thumbs down reasons, clicking a reason would bring you to the options page which allowed you to choose which child to assign to and anything else you wanted, and done. For 8/month 😳 I wish this app were a lot more streamlined.

  2. 3/5Hate the update

Too many clicks required to award a thumb. And too many notifications. The notification of how many days in a row I've awarded thumbs is infuriating. Also annoyed that the app description said it could be used on apple watch when I purchased last school year. That's still not possible. Also there's no quick way to view progress toward goal, which is very motivating to see for my kids. You can get to it, but a glitch makes it hard to toggle between kid profiles. Also liked the old graphics much better. The beauty of the original app was it's ease of use. Please revert and add apple watch functionality. We loved the original version and have recommended over and over again!

  3. 3/5Great app! Need to be able to undo thumbs up and down

Why is this a monthly pay app? Easily could be a pay 1x app. No way to undo thumbs up or down if mistake is made. Very good app just needs some improvements to work more broadly. You should be able to undo a thumbs up or down but you can’t. I don’t like the fact the developers can see all my thumbs up and downs reason kids pictures etc. again this should be a standalone app. Update: If you add reward late it does calculate the thumbs up in the new reward. Kids should be able to use thumbs up for any reward if they have enough thumbs up but the app spreads the thumbs up over all rewards currently listed. - unsure ready what it’s doing. Need instructions. So screens seem confusing like I see thumbs down from yesterday in today’s graph. My children like to see their thumbs up and down maybe create a clear and simple screen just for kids to view their thumbs up and pick their own reward. Bottom line great potential but needs work. Not thrilled about paying monthly for something that isn’t giving new content like a stream music service. I should have to pay for an app is self service. Not thrilled about being monitored and for what?

  4. 5/5Useful tool

This has been very helpful for my 10 year old. I paid for the subscription and was never able to access any of the additional functions that are supposed to be available through that. After I already paid it continued to tell me that those functions were only available through the subscription, when I clicked on subscription it informed me I already had a subscription. I cancelled the subscription but still use the app- would live to access additional features. Update- I am changing my review to 5 stars. After leaving my original review the developer reached out to me and fixed the bug that was keeping me from accessing all of the options. This was a very fast and painless process and I love the features that I’m able to now access. This is an amazing app and is one of the best tools to help my child! Thank you Thumbsters!

  5. 3/5Great idea for tracking behaviors if I can work some kinks out

Just started using the app to track my sons ADHD behaviors as we start some new supplements and diet changes and want to keep track of any positive changes. I have also paid for the upgraded app so I could access the full reports, detailing which behaviors are increasing and decreasing and what time of day they appear to be happening. However, two things about this app are already very frustrating and I wish were different: 1. I wish I could set goals according to specific behaviors and not just by total thumbs up. For example, “Go one week without lying and get a reward”. Is it possible to do this? My biggest issue though is... 2. I often am busy or forget to put things in right when they happen and wish I could go in retrospectively. For example at night when I have a chance go back and add thumbs up or down from during the day. Otherwise in the report it looks like all behaviors are happening late at night. Also, are we able to remove a thumbs up or thumbs down that we added accidentally? I can’t figure out how to do that. These negative aspects make my review lower but maybe it is just user error and there is a way to fix these problems I’m having. If so, I’ll gladly change my review!
