   I have been a Christian for about 47 years, give or take a couple of months. As a young Christian, hearing that someone had been a Christian for 40 plus years immediately I thought they must be a giant in the faith and what possibly could someone with that many years under their belt learn any thing new. Well, “I are one of those guys now”. and I am pleased to report that every day I am in the word God blesses me, challenges me, grows me, disciples me and motivates me to share truth “His truth, the only truth”. “Through The Word” has played an enormous role my growth and gaining a clearer understanding of his Word and how it applies to me. All your teachers are a 10 out of a 10. What has been really exciting is how your teachers have helped me understand the Old Testament. I have heard it said that Jesus is on every page of the Old Testament. Well, I don’t know about that but I do get the relationship between the Old Testament and the prophecy of the coming Messiah. The Holy Spirit is actively growing me every week and because of you faithful obedience and listening to the prompting of the Holy Spirit to start and persistently stay the the course in this ministry, I am joyfully staying the course. I am using Nicky Gumble's Through The Bible in a Year APP and while he does a terrific job sharing applicable principles and thoughts, when in the Old Testament I often go to TTW for clarity and a better understanding of what the Lord is teaching in the books of the Old Testament. May our Lord continue to bless the work you are doing and cover you and your families with His protection.

2. 5/5I really love Through the Word.

   Edit: I strongly agree with the person that mentioned Melanie Herlbut. I avoid listening to her sessions, which makes me sad, because I would really like to do the topics she covers. But I can’t handle being talked to like I’m a child. Also, I agree with the person that said they wished you could keep all the movie references like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and Narnia out. I want to hear from the Bible, not a movie review, and when you go off on those tangents it’s very distracting from the Word. Otherwise, I absolutely love TTW. I get into it every morning. There’s times I go through whole books in one sitting. I have been through Revelations, Daniel, Esther, Ezra and most of the New Testament several times. Waiting on new books to go through 💖💖 do my Daily Devotions with it every morning. Kris is of course, my favorite. One thing big on my wish list, please have each minister start telling which version of the Bible they are reading from in that session as I like to follow along. Every time I think I have their preferred version, they go to another one, then I have to play back and play back until I find the correct one at the beginning. I do always like to go back at the end and read the whole book though in the kjv. Just a purist at heart. Anyway, if that could be added somehow, that would be great. I’m sure I’m not the only one that would like this.

3. 5/5One of My Favorite Apps

   As of writing, I have been using this app for 10 months. The teachings are insightful, entertaining and informative. I love that you can choose the version of the Bible to use, whether to hear the lesson or the chapter first and that you can do things in any order. My friends and I began with Journey 1 and are working through those in order. While, on its own, the teachings are top-notch, the creators were smart enough to know that we need accountability and they built that in to the app, too. My friends and I record a message after each lesson. This allows us all to have a “conversation” about the lesson even if some of us are traveling. While life sometimes causes us to get behind, knowing the others are still going is a big motivator to get it finished. We just powered through Leviticus; the teachings were better than any of us imagined they could be and we finished right on schedule, having completed one chapter per day. Not may people can claim that (unless they are using this app). I recommend this to everyone I know, but I can’t advise you strongly enough to find a couple others and go through it with them. If you don’t, you’ll be sleeping on a feature that I believe is equally as important as the teachings and Bible readings because it helps you stay on track and enriches the teachings.

4. 5/5TTW…epic journeys plan

   Unfortunately, for last 4 years I have had to miss attending my church and my Sunday School.. ( you call it Life Group today) I really enjoyed and needed to hear the SS lessons I was missing.. I found this through You Version Bible App with Kris leading the devotional.. I so appreciated and loved how he relayed God’s Word just like my SS teacher does… I immediately signed up in 2024 March and have received such amazing, authentic sound doctrine teaching from this plan I am following… I am driving so much these past 4 years that in my long commute to help with my Gkids… I can cover and listen to 5 chapters one way. I have shared this App with my class, friends, family. You need to get this App to help you in your study of God’s Word… so easy to understand and relate to so you know how to apply it to your daily walk in Christ!!!!! Also, TTW offers numerous other ways to help you learn God’s Word.. Kris and all his staff do a great job of inserting and adding seasonal and high interest studies; topics; there is way so much here that I cannot express the importance of this App and all they continue to do to refine, improve, and add to every facet of this to teach and reach everyone in this vital ministry to further God’s Kingdom!! I love, love, love this App and it has and continually does bless my life and help me understand God’s Word..

5. 5/5Finding God “Through the Word”

   Long time believer, first time Bible reader. My true introduction and deep dive into the word of God came through the You Version Holy Bible app which is great. However, after receiving a strong personal recommendation to check out Through the Word app, it truly took my quest for knowledge and understanding of the Bible to a whole new level! As much as I want to understand and interpret the word of God to apply it to my everyday life and beliefs, I feel the Bible can be somewhat difficult to follow for a new comer as many of the messages that are being conveyed can be lost in translation if you’re uncertain what to make of it. This is why I realized Through the Word was a game changer for me from the first chapter of the Bible I listened and read along to while Pastor Kris Langham & company added their audio commentary. Their interpretation and explanation of the word in a down to Earth and relatable way as it applies to our daily lives today is truly remarkable. I very highly recommend this app for anyone searching for a stronger relationship with God and understanding through His word. In my own personal experience with Through the Word, it’s been like being able to avoid heavy traffic and roadblocks and jumping into an unobstructed fast lane leading me directly to my destination which in my case is building a stronger spiritual relationship Through the Word.
