1. 5/5Content amazing, App not so much

   First major problem with this app is that it keeps crashing on my iPad, starting yesterday, even after the update. Additional issues have to do with the media portion, specifically the podcasts. As a paying customer, I am supposed to get the uncensored version of the Triggered podcast, not possible. Also, there is no way to speed up the podcast, I typically listen to everything on 1.75x speed, this should be a no-brainer. Additionally, then my phone times out & goes dark, you have to open the phone back up in order to control any pausing or skipping. There are also issues with the comments section of the articles, but those are less annoying. Please fix this, I have subscribed to you guys, because I love your work & want to support you. 2026 update: Please fix your app! I love your content, but the app blows. On top of the fact that you still cannot get podcasts to increase speed, after years of asking for this. Now, every story doesn’t load properly unless you load it a second time. Whenever there are tweets (Twitchy) they load on top of each other. Or there are massive space gaps within the story. I try to be patient with you guys & have had the VIP going since you started it because I believe in what you do. You need to fire your app developer though.

2. 5/5Dark mode embedded content tiny

   The latest update made embedded content panels tiny. Since so many of your authors write entire articles around threads on X, videos are now too small to watch. If I want to see what’s going on, I need to click through to the post on X. It’s also difficult to read while it is so small. I did not see an issue with the size of embedded content until this update. Please restore a reasonable size of embedded content, and your app will be near perfect.

3. 1/5NSFW - not safe for home either

   As of 5 Oct the app will not even open on the iPad 18.0.1 update. The content was fantastic, the app developer does not due the content creators justice. Previous versions of the app would work on the iPad. The latest version is a complete failure. BEWARE - if you open the app, you may get an add with volume (loud). This will alert all around you that you are opening a site that has advertisements (NSFW). Dare to try to catch up on the news at the end of the day? The adds will hit you then too, and be careful, because if there is someone sleeping next to you, this will wake them up. As you scroll through content, you can also expect to get loud advertisements then, and finally again if you open an article. The developer will reply that they have to pay the bills, and I get that, but does it have to be so obnoxious? Finally, if you have to pay the bills, is a site like this hitting its target audience with adds that claim five police officers were killed on J6? Prior to the consolidation of the websites / apps you could search content on the IOs apps by author, you can’t do that since. The developer of this app is not doing the content creators justice.

4. 4/5Quirky functioning on iPhone

   The only thing that stops me from subscribing to THM News is how the articles begin to have huge gaps in the text, especially if they’re video or Twitter embeds after reading two articles. I have found that if I quit out of the app and restart it the links and embeds are restored, at least until I read a couple of more articles. I don’t mind dealing with advertisements but I had thought that I would give the app a try. However, I’m not going to pay for something that drops off my iPhone screen after a few moments of use, so I won’t take the chance. For the time being I’m going to stick with paying for The Blaze. They don’t have the number of articles that THM has, but what they do have I can read all at once with no loss of info or need to restart.

5. 3/5It’s just the other side of the story

   A lawyer recently told me there are three sides to a story: one side, the other side, and the truth. These political articles are no different. I’m sure somewhere out there, there is a dingbat leftwing version of what you will find here. Here at town hall, we get the dingbat rightwing version. Since I lean way towards the right, I stay here. But I have to dive deeper into realty after reading a piece. More times than not, I’m able to debunk whatever the author of the article has just stated. I, unlike most emotional Americans, am not so easily convinced that I am getting the straight and true ‘facts’ on the first pass. This goes for all media. So while I enjoy about 30% of what I read here, I usually have to double and triple check the ‘facts’ so I don’t find myself in the sheep pin like the rest of them.
