"title": "Glad to have The Star Ledger App!",
"body": "I and my husband are not New Jersey natives - I, originally from Oswego, NY, my husband, originally from West Chester, PA - however, due to a job with AT&T, my husband was transferred from northern Virginia to Morristown, NJ back in June of 1990. We eventually moved in November of ‘90 to a home in Sparta, NJ. We then eventually moved to a home in Flanders, NJ and spent a total of almost 29 years living there in New Jersey, 5 years in Sparta, almost 24 in Flanders. We, most of those years, got The Star Ledger, seven days a week. We have since moved to the Myrtle Beach, SC area and have lived there since the Fall of ‘19. I have used newspaper apps on my IPhone for the time we’ve lived in SC. The newest app I have on my phone is The Star Ledger’s and very happy I’ve gotten their app! It allows me to keep up with all things Jersey!",

"title": "Intermittent digital service",
"body": "I’ve been subscribing for the Star Ledger for year, but for the past 6 weeks I have been receiving inconsistent service. I have not been able to connect with my subscription at all for the past 2 weeks. I only requested a digital rendering of the Ledger. I do receive notification from my mobile devices everyday, but all I keep receiving is a demo and a way to start another subscription. I contacted the Star Ledger support group, and because my subscription is through iTunes they have no account for me. Apple/iTunes is receiving the monthly fee and is depending on the app developer and the Star Ledger to communicate and provide the necessary service. I’ve gone back and forth with the support staff of the Star Ledger, and the only way I can communicate with the developer, is through this review. I just want this issue resolved so I can continue my subscription with iTunes. Please respond.",

"title": "New Version Doesnt Work",
"body": "I have beed a long time digital only subscriber and had no problems with the Olive digital edition on the PC and later with the app when I got my first iPad. As with everyone else the new app doesn't recognize my user ID. I called customer service last Sunday and was told the new app had an unexpected glitch and I was given instructions as to how to view the paper with Safari, which I had figured out already and which is awkward. The most frustrating part of all this is the daily email from the Star Ledger telling me to view the paper in the wonderful new app. It would be much more appropriate to be sending us emails apologizing for the issue and advising a time frame for correcting the problem",

"title": "Improve The App or Go Back To The Old One",
"body": "It is very difficult to download or maneuver the app, especially on an iPad or iPhone, to read and scan the paper page by page. You get 2 pages at a time, the print is very small, and often as you try to advance the paper it resets to page 1 and you have to begin advancing it again. On the old app, you could easily download it and scroll down the pages continuously with no automatic resets occurring. Plus the paper’s size filled the screen completely maximizing its viewing size.",

"title": "Does not work for the older reader",
"body": "The new but not improved SL app. It has more quirks than the other that was a nightmare unto itself. If one opens a page in what I call the single item , cannot make the print larger, the setting button does not work. Another quirk, sometimes cannot go backward without using the home button that takes one back to opening page. The picture of the paper in small pop up to indicate where you are just takes up space again in an area that does not permit scaling the page. The one bright spot, comic section can be scaled to make reading it better. The only reason I put up with the quirks is that it is the only statewide paper. A jab, I have been a subscriber before these app designers were born.",
