5/5Bible App.
Just recently got this 1Bible app and am well pleased with it. Now I can choose my preferred Bible translation (NASB) and daily reading is much easier. I can adjust the print size, the color of the background for the print, mark the Book and chapter as read, switch from Old Testament to New Testament in a matter of seconds, and still have the words of Christ in traditional red letters for easy recognition. I have the Bible in my Kindle library, but this app makes reading on a daily basis much easier. Many thanks to the creators of this app. For me, it is a Godsend. I still have my print versions of His Word in my book shelf at the head of my bed to use anytime I choose, but for my daily reading, this app is wonderful.

3/5Still holding on
I’ll start out by saying that this has been my go to digital Bible for years. I have a couple of others but this is my primary. I have been very patient and tolerated so many issues especially following updates. My frustration comes with syncing issues across devices, the lost markings of what I’ve already read and so much more. The parallel option was superb and now it’s gone. I stopped making notes because now the note you make by a scripture is no longer by the scripture it is somewhere else so I can’t refer back to my note if I reread that scripture and I can go on and on but features that made this app my fav has gone away. Basically I ditto “Brent, frustrated” from two years ago. I have sent emails in the past and have never received a response like Brent. This is still my go to Digital Bible because I have lots of years of highlights and notes invested. I have high expectations because this digital Bible is to Glorify the Lord and therefore I believe only excellence should be put forth. Praying for the team. God has a plan for you and has blessed you with this platform. I am thankful your team is using your gifts and talents to glorify Him with the production of this digital Bible. Lastly, I was a subscriber (charitable downer) but the last update kicked that out too. Not sure what happened there either. But I am glad the last update stopped forcing me to look at certain advertisement. There has been some that one would not want to see when you’re about to read your Bible!

1/5Hot garbage update
The more these “developers” “develop”, the more they screw up the app… now on the October 2024 update I have to push on “Done” to switch between books and verses! It adds one more unnecessary step that wasn’t needed before, when I chose the verse, it navigated automatically. Why can’t you just work on only iOS compatibility and leave the input interfaces alone!? I’ve got too many years invested on the OneBible app, but you keep ruining my readings every time you update it. Lastly, I see you finally removed the Auto-lock disable button in the settings that never seemed to work. That’s one development could not seem to get to work so throw in the towel! Thumbs up… not. The May 2022 Update v. 4 is a huge step backwards. On their push for subscribers and accounts, I lost all my bookmarks, highlights, and books completed. The header font is too small and hard to read. Switching between books doesn’t allow alphabetical searches any more. The icing on the cake may be opening the app in church and getting an ad with audio…

1/5Been using for 10 years. Not a good app.
I originally purchased the NASB app ($30) almost 10 years ago. I have thousands of highlights and notes. I was basically forced into using the new app (OneBible) a while back. I’ve had issues with both apps since the beginning. I’ve contacted support multiple times and it isn’t good. The sync feature doesn’t work right for multiple devices, the dictionary lookup doesn’t work anymore, I bookmarked a page and couldn’t clear it and kept pressing the bookmark only to see a dozen bookmarks for each time I tried to clear, I now have to pay to remove adds that blare out when I’m trying to be quiet, and I could go on. It seems every time something is fixed, another issue arises. I have been a software developer for over 30 years and I know how software development and quality control should work and it isn’t like this. I’m so many years and so far into this app that I hate to change now, but I’m almost done! There are other options and I would definitely recommend you search for something different.

1/5Was great. Now frustrating. Don’t buy this app.
I’ve had this app for many years (10 maybe) when a while ago an “update” undid all I liked (and paid for) about it. Originally, I paid $25 because this app had the 1984 version of the NIV and there were no ads. After the update (maybe 2 years ago) it started making me watch an ad before getting to the Bible which has been super inconvenient when sitting in church trying to flip to various verses, plus I paid for ad free! So I emailed the apps contact. No response. Emailed again. Still no response. Is there anyone there? Despite this, the NIV84, which is specifically what I paid the $25 for was still accessible on their app so I stuck with it. But as of recently, the NIV84 has disappeared. I couldn’t feel more taken advantage of. I emailed one more time this morning. Hopefully I’ll hear back. Don’t put yourself through the frustration of this experience. This app is no longer worth it. They just want your money but aren’t there for you and don’t stand behind their product.
