5/5Too many ads and App keeps crashing
Used to like the app in the beginning but slowly the number of ads started increasing. Making money through ads is important but remember the saying “ Too many cooks spoil the broth”. I hope my intention was clear. Above all, the app started crashing more frequently which is really frustrating. Fix required at the earliest.

4/5iPad user experience could be improved
User interface for iPad is similar to that of a phone. It doesn’t fit the entire screen of the iPad. Most other news apps does support enlarging the UI to fit the screen for iPad. Surprising to see most notable newspaper The Hindu doesn’t support this. I would suggest the tech team to look at the New York Times app in all the platforms and devices and also the Economic Times. It would be hard to retain even the most loyal users if the app is not designed to be usable across different devices long term. Accessibility ensures that the reader being able to access the content from different devices ensuring consistent and efficient experience.

I had this app before then I deleted it because of user experience. Downloaded it again because all other news companies have only one agenda, tell you which Bollywood actor is wearing which cloth. Having same horrible experience again, app crashes on every article. You have to open it multiple times to get to any article. Just hard to imagine that company like Hindu can’t afford one decent programmer from the land of software engineers. Deleted this app again. I have received an update form development team that they are working on a new app. I am upgrading the rating to two stars. I will wait for the new app for now and I have deleted it because I can’t use it at all.

3/5Good app, needs improvement
The app itself has evolved significantly since the first time I have started using it to be better in terms of navigation and content presentation. However, one very nagging thing is the display of ads. I understand it is necessary to make money, but almost all the articles I have attempted to read the first time will have the advertisement displayed over the actual content making it useless and extremely annoying when reading. For avid readers, it may be a good idea provide an interactive version of the crossword.

Whenever I tap any news, the app crashes. Very frustrating indeed. This problem has persisted for many years as per published reviews but nothing has been done so far. Please fix the bug before I delete the app. January 23, 2023 Please accept my thanks for fixing the problem. Appreciate excellent news content too!

This e-paper app is good and its content is really good. The content published is helpful for examination purposes and I learnt a lot . But there is a little problem while reading epaper, whenever I leave the page which I had zoomed, it gets automatically restore to the original size. It creates problem in reading . I had to zoom it again and again to read.. if possible, it can be good for others to read smoothly without loosing coherent concentration.

presently the app is not opening the newspaper.. being an annual subscriber to e paper of the Hindu , at times whenever I try to open , it keeps showing the app isn't responding..it hangs ..please update the app and fix the problems of the Hindu subscribers asap!...actually after reinstalling after uninstalling ...now the app is working fine!
