This is an update to support the new iPhone 5 screen size. This update also includes the following new features: • share list as a text message • set a budget for each person on your list • a new, at-a-glance view of shopping progress • view and search gifts by their status (to do, purchased, etc...) This update allows you to save and reference gifts from previous years without counting them toward this year's totals. It is also now easier to give the same gift to multiple people.

Now it's easier than ever to add items to your lists quickly. Using the new Quick Add feature, you can enter multiple gifts at once – and if your device supports voice dictation, Quick Add works with that too, so you can add multiple gifts with just your voice! (To determine if you have voice dictation, just look for a microphone icon next to the space bar on the Quick Add Screen in the app.) In addition, the screen that lists a person's gifts now also indicates the status of those gifts – letting you see more at a glance. And on the progress screen, you can now select multiple gifts at once to move them all to a new status. This comes in handy when wrapping or mailing several gifts at once – just tap the edit button, then tap each gift you want to move, choose the new status to move the gifts to and you're done! Lastly, if you have an AirPrint-enabled printer, you will now be able to print lists directly from the app. We hope that you love the app already and that you find that these extra touches make it even better – here's to helping you enjoy that totally-organized-and-got-done-early feeling this year!

This also lets you make archived gifts active again (in case you archived them by accident).

This is an update to make The Christmas List work better with the new version of iOS. The look of The Christmas List has been refreshed and along the way a few new features were added too. For example, the progress charts and checkmarks are now color coded to better show the different statuses of gifts. On the gift detail screen, you can now zoom in to get a better look at the photo and it’s also easier to tell on the list views which gifts have notes and pictures. This update also fixes a couple of glitches – an issue that may have caused the previous year to be unavailable for archiving gifts is now resolved. In addition, a fix for an issue that caused archived gifts to be included in the group email is also included. …stayed tuned for more great features you’ve asked for coming soon!

This update allows those of you with iOS8 to use Touch ID with your passcode to unlock the app. You can also add a countdown of shopping days until Christmas as a today widget in Notification Center, which means you can swipe down from any app and quickly see the countdown or launch the app. In addition, now The Christmas List looks great on the larger screen sizes of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus. We fixed a glitch that would cause a crash when adding people from contacts when an address book contains people with no name and no phone and no email address (really didn't expect that one). This update has a ton of little enhancements and fixes to make the app even better, including the ability to have a big checkmark to mark shopping for a person as complete (while leaving un-purchased gifts for that person unchecked). For those of you with 3D Touch, you'll now be able to peek and pop on the main lists and quickly launch into a part of the app right from the icon.

The latest update is here with some great new features and a few fixes. SHARE A GROUP VIA AIRDROP Now you can use AirDrop to share an entire group at once. Or if you’d prefer, you can upload a copy of the group to iCloud drive. EDIT MULTIPLE GIFTS AT ONCE Changing the status of several gifts at once has always been possible on the lists by status (accessed via the Progress tab). Now the lists by person and the lists by store can do it too. Also new is the ability to change the store for multiple gifts at once. It’s never been easier to keep track of what’s wrapped, shipped, and left to do. GIFT DETAIL IMPROVEMENTS The notes field now recognizes website addresses and tracking numbers. Before you begin editing a gift, just tap on the blue or underlined text in the notes to view a website or tracking number you previously pasted or typed into the notes field. And speaking of pasting – you can now paste a gift photo into the gift detail screen by tapping on the “Photo Options” text. That means that if you are using a Mac and an iPhone with Universal Clipboard, you can copy a photo on the desktop and paste it into the gift details! In addition, tracking the progress of each gift has been made more clear on the gift detail screen. ADD A SINGLE GIFT WITH ALL THE DETAILS When you are just entering a single gift (rather than a list) and would like to add more details to the gift at the time you are adding it, you now have the option to do that. (This is an additional option, so you can still add multiple gifts at once if you prefer.) USE A PASSCODE WITHOUT TOUCH ID Sometimes it's not practical to use Touch ID. For those times, there is a new option to disable Touch ID for the app while maintaining the use of a passcode. To get to this option, go to the Settings app on the iPhone (i.e. the separate app; not the settings tab on this app) and scroll down and tap on the Christmas icon. TURN OFF SOUNDS Sounds are fun, but sometimes silence is better. If you’re the silent type, you can turn off sounds in the app on the Settings tab. GO AHEAD AND PEEK If your phone supports 3D touch you’ll notice that more of the lists support peeking at the next screen. NEW STORE EDITOR When editing a gift, the separation between the store selector and the store editor has been made more clear. SOME FIXES A few little glitches have been fixed. Notably, you may have noticed a glitch importing contacts when the people in your address book have special characters in their names. This has been fixed. TIDIED THINGS UP A BIT The same as before, just a little cleaner and clearer.

Stores used to be represented by a shopping cart; now it is a store front.
