1. 1/5What app are y’all using?

   It’s 2024 and this app is mostly the same as it was 3 years ago and severely behind many other restaurant chain’s offerings in regards to apps. In 2024, I shouldn’t have to take pics of receipts for rewards and I should be able to order ahead thru the app. Furthermore, about 1/3 of the time my receipts uploaded for rewards get rejected - no reason outside of “invalid” - even though they’re over $5, clearly show the location, order with subtotal/total etc. Lastly the app shows $5 rewards ready for redemption but the outdated way the app works if you go to redeem it starts a timer and if it’s not successfully redeemed during that time frame you lose the reward. The problem is, you don’t know if you actually HAVE the reward because today (for instance) when I went to use it, I got a popup saying I couldn’t because transactions credited in the issued reward are still pending - so why issue the reward if it isn’t ready to use? Or why not have a pending banner over it? It’s beyond me how this app has a 4.8 - either people don’t understand how the rating system works, they’re being extremely nice which is to the detriment of serious changes that need to be implemented being implemented or they’re never used any other restaurant app because this is by far one of the worst, respectfully.

2. 1/5Thinking you can enjoy time with your grandkids at neighborly Dairy Queen

   First of all while giving the kid my order he was not even trying to listen to what we were wanting so as a result our order was wrong but there was another table with the same problem and that lady was trying to talk to the girl and she just walked away as the lady was talking. Then came ice cream time because of course the grand babies favor time of the trip same kid took our order with no cares as to get it right. He just walked away and left us standing there waiting for ice cream after 2 other customers had been waited on I had to ask if he was going to fix our ice cream again with no apologies he started fixing it . We spent $40 plus for crappy food and crappy service . Not going back at all. I thought I might have been upset because you know it’s your grand babies but as I stood there and watch the other customers they were not happy either!!

   The staff is very knowledgeable. Most of the times you can get through the line outside for pick up is pretty good. I think they could work a little harder on that especially if there is like if there were four cars waiting or more than that, they should ask those people to please just go in the parking lot and they would deliver it rather than those of us are waiting 5 to 10 minutes and of course that’s at the height of the times, that’s my consideration is that they do tell customer when they order something and they’re in their car and it’s going to be a long time that they do ask them to go in the parking lot and someone would deliver it to waiti

4. 5/5Chicken and dumplings!

   My hometown Dairy Queen in Sulphur Springs, Texas deserves 100 plus infinity star rating! The manager goes above and beyond her duties. The wait staff and kitchen crew on every shift are always very polite and extremely friendly! They recognize me and my family as soon as we walk in! Guess that’s a testament in itself how much we love our DQ! Now about the food! It is soo good! The chicken and dumplings are right up there close to my now Heavenly Angel Grandmother’s. I have never tasted any remotely close to hers! Another testament in itself! My only complaint is that they don’t come in bigger sizes!! My biggest weakness is the TACOS! They are awesomely awesome! Always fresh lettuce and tomato’s, and the shell is so crunchy! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for TACO TUESDAYS!! 🙋🏼‍♀️💙🌮

5. 5/5Please add on-line ordering

   I’ll review this app since there are better places like Yelp to review the restaurants themselves. The app has continued to get better. I have had no problems with it in a long time. When I submit a photo to earn a reward, it gets approved very promptly. The major improvement I would like to see is on-line ordering so I can order & pay in advance. Of the national and regional chains in my area, DQ is the only one without ordering capability. In this time of social distancing and minimizing interactions and contact time, it’s almost a necessity. I would think customer generated prepaid orders would reduce order errors and free up labor for other tasks or customers. It would also reduce cash handling.
