5/5Fantastic App & Dev
First off, this app is fantastic. It has every site for tech news you could possibly need/want, and you can choose which sites show up in the main feed. It is a literal plethora of news and information. If you’re a tech nerd, you need this app. Second, the app itself works flawlessly. I have been using it on various devices for many, many years and almost never encounter any problems. Feeds refresh and update quickly and articles and sites load smoothly. In the *extremely* rare case an issue pops up, it is quickly addressed and back in working order at an impressive speed. Finally, the developer is first-rate. The app is well maintained and replies to user feedback are handled quickly, politely, and professionally - truly an example to his peers. The premium upgrade is worth every penny, not just to remove the ads, but to support a developer of this caliber. I highly recommend this app, and that you check out his other app, MacHash, for all Apple/Mac/iStuff-related tech news, as it is just as excellent and informative as Tech News Tube.

5/5Dev fixed app - better now
Great app, dev fixed it. See prior problem below. ****old review**** Content is good and banner ads tolerable...BUT...be WARNED...developer has inserted two MALICIOUS programs! 1) Fake full screen "VIRUS ALERT! Your phone is infected!" Happens about once every 10 minutes. 2) High pitched alarm sound that overrides my mute button. CANT BE PREVENTED! Only way to turn it off is to close the app. Happens more than once a day. Seriously dev?! Please remove these malicious programs from this app. Seriously Apple?! You allow my phone to be hijacked with fake virus alerts and screeching noises? Response to dev: nice try. 1) NO ONE should pay you to remove malicious app behavior, that would only encourage you. 2) I've used thousands of apps with banner ads, your app is the ONLY one that does this. Ergo, it is not the banner ads it is something you ALLOW. You obviously inserted full page malicious ads. 3) Here is an idea: Switch to a different ad agency for those full page ads, or simpler, have some ethics and remove them if you can't fix them! Unless you like terrorizing app users to pay you, which you must.

5/5Still my Go To
After a couple years this app is still my go to for tech news! It does not have every feed that I want, but it’s still great. I have tried a few other apps but this one has won out every time.

Best Tech news aggregate out there but it has been completely empty for the last week. Is this app dead?

3/5Good concept, iPhone 4 design
This app has SO much potential! There’s a gap in the tech news aggregation space and this fits the bill with the credible tech news stations it contains. HOWEVER, the app hasn’t been updated in 6 months and the interface looks like it belongs on an iPhone 4. Sadly, will not be using. Please improve the UI and UX. Lots of potential here

6.3.1
Fixes an issue with Reader mode and the in app browser. This update will reset your preference for "Reader Mode" to off if you are using the in app browser. We introduced a change to reader mode in the last update which has caused some confusion. The in app browser uses a third party service for reader mode and the configuration was causing some loading errors and delays and it wasn't clear we made this change. You can turn it back on by going to Settings > Browser Prefs and then toggle the reader mode option. Restores subject line auto fill for sharing pages with the in app browser.

New Headline focused design Tech News Tube v7 brings a new headline focused design that delivers improved readability. Headlines are always shown in full and are now much more scannable as you scroll through your daily Apple news fix. Improved image clarity also brings a nice effect and aids visual scanning glanceability. Automatic dark mode The other main new feature in this update is automatic dark mode. When enabled Tech News Tube will use your broad location to determine approximate local sunset and sunrise times in your area. If it is dark outside, the app will automatically enable dark mode and go back to the light theme when the sun comes back up. It can still be toggled manually if you prefer. Darker dark mode We now use a true black background in dark mode for better dark mode contrast and battery performance on OLED displays. Critical Bug fixes - No more Postlight 500 errors. Improved performance A number of under the hood bug fixes and performance enhancements. A number of updated support libraries. Had to remove some built in Twitter functionality due to the Twitter discontinuing their iOS SDK and related APIs. You can still tweet from the share action menu if you have Twitter installed or another third party Twitter client. App now requires iOS 9 or later. Please visit our blog at GlassWave.co for more details, updates and to signup for our email newsletter. Please leave us a star rating and thank you for using Tech News Tube.
