  1. 2/5Significant Step Backwards

After a decade of using TeamSnap as a head coach to help manage and communicate, TeamSnap One is a major step backwards. The platform appears to prioritize organization-level administration while completely overlooking the day-to-day needs of coaches. From a coaching standpoint, I cannot point to a single feature that is better than the previous version, and several core functions have been removed entirely. The most frustrating issues identified so far: No web-based portal Eliminating the desktop experience is a huge mistake. Coaches rely on it to efficiently upload and manage folders that include practice plans, shot sheets, and team systems documents, etc. Forcing everything through a mobile app is unnecessarily limiting and inefficient. No team email functionality Removing team email is another major miss. Chat is fine for quick messages, but it is not a replacement for structured, professional communication. Email is essential for sharing detailed updates, attachments, and important team information in an organized way. Overall, this feels like a downgrade in usability and functionality. Unless these basic features are restored, it is hard to see how this version meets the needs of coaches.

  2. 5/5So easy to use!

I have used this app for both my daughter’s basketball team and my son’s t-ball team. I can easily update the schedule, live stream their games, and chat with the team. I’ve used the new poll feature for parents to sign up for weekly snack duty! The practice plan content for both sports is great. The drills are engaging and fun for the kids!

  3. 1/5Bad. Really Bad

I’m wondering if this app has a whole new development team because this new version is *terrible*. The original app had its issues and wasn’t the most robust, but compared to this it was light years ahead. In this version basic functionality is either missing or much more convoluted and cumbersome to navigate. Makes no sense. ***Also a free tip for the developers: In messaging, the name of the person posting the message should come before the message, not after. Please refer to prior/superior Team Snap app implementation for reference.

  4. 1/5So far terrible.

Downloaded because was told the team was switching to this interface. Well, now when I select a team (I have multiple kids on different teams) it shows the title as the team I selected but the roster for a different team —as in completely different club. Is not accessible on the computer and has listed me (the primary parent) as not the primary, does not allow me to add my info nor edit it, and does not allow my phone number to be accessible and does not show email addresses-when I attempt to email it opens up an email system that was never connected to TeamSnap nor is the primary email system in my personal phone setup.

  5. 1/5Too many missing features

While this is probably an improvement for players, for team managers it is a disaster. No web portal, cannot update recurring events (must update events individually), have to use the mobile app to add players and additional contacts, no options to upload media (field maps, forms, etc)except in team chat. This wasn’t ready for roll out to the general public as there are lots of standard features that are now missing.
