Video Improvements • Videos now display in full-screen contain mode so nothing gets cropped — see every play, corner to corner. • Added a "Switch to Fill" option in the feed menu for users who prefer the classic zoomed view. Notifications • Overhauled notification delivery — likes, comments, and follows now arrive faster and more reliably. • Fixed push notification registration on some devices that weren't receiving alerts. • Notification settings now save correctly across sessions. Feed • Fixed a navigation issue in the feed that could cause unexpected behavior when scrolling. General • Performance and stability improvements.

What's new in this release: • Location tagging — Tag any post with a place. The picker now opens to your current location, lets you pick "Use My Location" with one tap, shows nearby spots before you even search, and remembers your recent picks. • Faster, smoother feed — Videos preload in the direction you're swiping and resume instantly. Single-tap pauses and plays, double-tap likes (with a quick haptic), and we fixed the bug where you'd see the same clips in the same order. • Accurate chat badge — The unread count now reconciles with the server every time you open the app or return from the background, so the badge no longer "comes back" on launch after you've already read your messages. • Highlight uploads in the background — Mux uploads continue when you switch apps or lock your phone, with a Metal-enhanced preview while it processes. • Reliability fixes — Ghost likes now roll back if the network call fails, the For You feed refreshes when you return to it, and we cleaned up several playback edge cases. Tayp Hub: tap any school to jump straight to its website. • Live event dates for Georgia girls flag-football camps, clinics, and tournaments — including the Nike Lovett camp (Jun 1–5), She Makes Plays at Woodward Academy (Jun 13), and the i9 Sports JJ Biello clinic (Jun 6 – Jul 18). • Stale GHSA headlines and past events now disappear automatically so the feed stays current. • Send any video straight into a chat with the new Send button — recipients can finally view shared clips even when the original post is private. • Clearer share sheet: see the video thumbnail before you send so you always pick the right clip. • Behind the scenes: faster push notifications and a more reliable chat experience.

• Tap any clip on a profile and you'll land on that exact video — swipe up or down to move through their reel newer ↔ older. • Fixed a bug where a single tap on the like heart could register as multiple likes. Like counts now match reality. • Faster, calmer feed: removed the in-app status banner so nothing covers your scroll. Live status still lives at tayp.app/status. • Comments load cleaner — deleted comments no longer leave ghost rows. • Behind-the-scenes reliability tuning for chat and feed.

This update improves sharing, notifications, profile reliability, and video performance across Tayp. Sharing is now smoother with an improved native share flow and a larger share sheet that makes it easier to choose where to send highlights. We also improved notification syncing, like-count consistency, profile photo loading, saved video reliability, and overall video playback quality throughout the app. We also made several behind-the-scenes fixes to make Tayp feel faster, more stable, and more reliable.
