1. 5/5Getting back into the swing of things

   I been a weekend golfer for a lot of years play when I can ,been to few tournaments to watch an listen an see if there anything I can do with my equipment to improve my game all I have come to is practice practice practice if you want to be good practice at the driving range of course but sometimes I go to a open field walk off 150 yards put a stick to aim at see how close I can get to the pin don’t have the fancy putter to much I been using my dad’s putter for all of these years I bought the Taylor made sims 2 set new it has it moments but if I could dialed it in I would be as good as I can be but it all get back to practice I love this game dosnt matter if you are young or old it never gets old new equipment always a plus but I am old school taught but overall I love it this app is taking me to the next level to be better than I was before

2. 5/5Glad I Didn’t Pay

   Update: The developers were quick to respond and fix the issues that I had outlined below. My rounds that had vanished came back, which allowed me to view my stats. That definitely ups my rating. As for the review of app features, it’s easy to track your score and select which club from your bag that you used. The average yardage presentation for each club is also pretty helpful when trying to hone in your distances and determine what club you should use (or not use). The range finder function is also pretty helpful as you can tap to determine a distance to a point on the course, and not just receive the distance to the center of the green. One last thing that I like is that the TM app doesn’t drain my battery like some of the other apps that I’ve tried. The only minor downside that I had was needing to bring my phone with me to where I hit the ball to get an accurate distance. Fortunately, you can edit your shot location and move it to where you actually hit from. This is useful for situations like when you leave your phone in the cart, but want to measure your shot from the tee box you just hit from. Original: I got a free membership trail with the purchase of a set of P790 irons. Since then, 2 of 3 rounds played never saved. This is despite receiving the end of round email. Additionally, on my fourth round, the app wouldn’t even load the course. I decided to cancel the free-trial/subscription at the tee box of hole #2 (after playing a long par 5 on hole #1). Luckily my Garmin watch also records the round, so I at least had my data on that app. The only upside to the membership/app is the possibility of winning the tour trash. That’s definitely not worth paying monthly for.

3. 4/5App has been pretty good for the most part, BUT still could use fixes

   Recently updated and everything works great for the most part, but it is not registering GPS tracked round as well as closing out randomly or freezing. I have logged out and redownloaded the app multiple times. It says I have $50 worth of pts and to use them at checkout, but when I check out there’s no option for me to use the pts on my account. It states $2.13 worth of pts are expiring soon and to use those as well, but still the same issue. Have reached out to Taylormade support and hopefully they can fix the issue. Have tried checking with multiple different items in cart. Have purchased a wedge prior in the past and had no issues.

4. 4/5First Season and it’s a keeper.

   I have been testing a variety of golf apps for the past few years since my first Apple Watch. This app has great balance between score keeping, GPS yardages and other little trackers for your game with out slowing down your round. Love the course selection and can play a whole round using my watch without even opening the phone app. The only improvement I wish they could make is a complication for the Apple Watch. So when the Apple Watch loses focus on the round or when I need to take a text or look up the weather I have an easier way to return to the app. My goto watch face is the Info graph with the battery level, weather status wind, my radar, activity, date linked to calendar, compass, and activity circles. I like the iPhone app as well for keeping rounds, golf tips, rewards on TaylorMade products and an access to their shop. They do a good job presenting clubs and how they might fit into your game. I flipped my bag this year to all TaylorMade’s and the app made it easy to compare my options. Great job keep improving the app!

5. 2/5Latest update changed everything

   This app has always been a love/hate relationship for me. It was the best app out there for functionality. The watch shot tracking and round editing were the best available but the app was buggy and slow. At times I’d be 3 holes in before I could get it started. With this most recent app, it’s reverse. The app seems to work very well but now they’ve removed shot tracking, the best part of the app. Now I have the option to compare club distances over all tracked shots, which is amazing, but now I can’t track shots for the option to work? I hope this is a temporary change. If it comes back, this app will be my go-to for tracking and ball purchases (it seems you can earn discounts now), but if not, it’ll just be deleted.
