1. 2/5App is extremely hard, and often impossible to use with a screen reader

   Please, please please make your app accessible for those of us who don’t read the screen! Buttons need to be labeled as buttons. I cannot use the chat function. I cannot use the link that is given in the reply. There is one page on the website that comes up with catalog button and it gives you a description of what that is. There are mini mini, mini other things that are confusing and don’t support a screenreader. If you don’t know where the screen reader is, that you have more problems than it would be easy to fix. A screenreader is a text to speech engine that runs on operating systems. Or Apple, it is called voiceover and is available on all Apple products. I am using an iPhone 13 Pro with the latest operating system. I know you guys could do better. There are, I’m sure, lots of people who cannot read the screen, who would greatly benefit from your app. This means that you are a losing potential customers. that said, I have an able to schedule and utilize to test scores who were terrific. But the communication was difficult, because I could not participate in the chat. Often you have what seems to be buttons, but they’re not named in your coding as buttons and probably they’re not normal buttons, so in that case, you have to name them as buttons. Please get back to me with a response.

2. 1/537% fee and can’t communicate until after booking and paying

   The $40 service I booked had a fee of $14-something. Insanely high. Secondly, you can’t communicate with the tasker until AFTER you book and pay. When I communicated with him afterwards, it turned out that the job I needed done, needed two people to do it. He said I would either need to book another tasker or have somebody on hand that can help him out. Had I been able to communicate with him beforehand, I would have known this and been able to either find a tasker who works with a partner or team or I could’ve gone a different route. I wouldn’t mind booking another tasker except that I can’t help but wonder if this platform is set up in this way to force people to have to pay their fees twice. Secondly my worry was what if I book two separate taskers, and one shows up while the other doesn’t. Task rabbits help section said I wouldn’t get charged for the one that didn’t show up. But says nothing about the one that does show up, but can no longer do the job, because the second person is needed. Last but not least, I felt bad having to cancel this guy. He did try to find a buddy of his to come along to help, but was not able to. His fear was that if I cancel for WHATEVER reason, his score gets dinged. Terrible first experience with task rabbit. I did wind up canceling and I’m deleting the app. I will never use this again.

3. 4/5Shocked at the negative reviews

   Just used TR to move shelving units from my friend’s apartment to mine. The whole experience was great and the app was easy to use (and I work at a tech company!). The notifications work properly (important!) and you can leave/read reviews for potential suggestions. I read almost every review before deciding on a TR and I had a really easy and efficient time with my task. So I’m shocked at all the negative reviews on here - take a minute to do your research and you won’t be disappointed. That said, because this is the App Store, one feature/UX suggestion I have would be to move the search to the header rather than at the bottom on Home as I actually had no idea it existed for most of the time I’ve had this app downloaded. Also, I wish you could set your TR results to sort the same way every time (I wanted price from low to high instead of recommended - it was annoying having to toggle that each time I searched a new time or date). Lastly, it would be more convenient to enter any promo codes in settings vs. after you’ve booked a task and are ready to checkout - especially since other sharing economy apps have conditioned us to do it this way. Other than those three things, can’t really complain and would use again!

4. 3/5Please auto fill repeat task rabbit orders!!

   I use task rabbit on a regular basis to have someone pick up and deliver my elderly mother’s prescriptions, as we live several states apart. I have a favorite tasker, someone my mom is used to. But in addition to the app being so, so slow for me (when my tasker chats me, I never see it in the messaging app until a good 1-2 mins later, or I have issues loading addresses) I have to re-type in details every single time. I have had to store addresses on my phone (to the pharmacy and my mom’s place) and will have to fumble around copy and pasting those addresses into task rabbit and even then pasting will not work well (goes slow) or will cause the address to not load properly, so I end up having to manually type the address in anyway. I also have to always just re-do the whole task order, choosing a category and tasker etc, rather than just being able to select an auto-load of my most common tasks in 2-3 clicks. (For example, a lot of food delivery apps have your favorite orders preloaded.) lastly, my tasker gave me a $10 off coupon for “my next task,” but then it turned out the $10 off was only if I was a new member, which even she was unaware of. I see so many problems with this app...the UI is just such a mess in my opinion in terms of functionality and fluidity and smoothness...it’s not convenient if you need repeated tasks...I have no idea how to use the coupons...and the only reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because it is very secure and I haven’t had any problems with taskers in general. I trust their vetting process so that’s good.

5. 3/5I can no longer pick taskers of my choice

   I was trying to book an assembly request in SF a few days in advance, but I was unable to select a tasker that I’ve used before. I thought they may be unavailable, but then I remembered they sent me a direct link to their profile. Once I clicked on the link it showed me that they were actually available for that timeframe I initially selected, which was contrary to what was displayed in the app. So needless to say I booked my preferred tasker for the assembly project. Once they had completed the project, I asked them why I was unable to select them in the app. They informed me that Taskrabbit change their algorithm to prioritize taskers based on the location of the cities where they reside, instead of all the taskers that service the area. They also mention that they have been getting less work as a result of this update. I noticed during the checkout process that Taskrabbit was willing to recommend less experienced taskers with lower ratings, instead of my preferred tasker of choice. This seems unfair to both customers and taskers alike. It forces mediocrity on the customers while taking work away from quality taskers. Taskrabbit should really provide customers with a better selection of taskers that provide a higher standard of service and not penalize taskers just because of their proximity to the service location. I hope that they will take my feedback seriously and not continue to peddle such mediocrity.

   Uninstalling this app because as of late taskers no show and mark me as canceled then I have to fight to get a refund. used many times in the past but the last 2 times this happened is not worth the risk.

   Use this app if you like to give away your money for nothing in return. This review character limit is not allowing me to share details about my experience but I have been charged for work that was not completed on the last 2 tries. I am deleting this app. Use FB Marketplace instead and dont use an app that stores and charges your cc unfairly.

   Brand new to Task Rabbit and was asked to upload some photos. The website was so bad at this across multiple browsers that I've been forced to download this app instead. I should not have had to download this - the website should have worked. Very bad first impression.
