I wish there was a way to limit the use of the person by telephone number instead of email. My sons father let his girlfriend download the app on her cellphone and now they both harass me. I never know who I’m talking to. Some days it’s her and some days it’s him. But they are both always attacking me. It’s mentally exhausting. I’ve stopped checking my messages, and he’s accused me with the court of ignoring him. So now that I have proof that the girlfriend has the app on her phone, I’ve notified the court so they know why I’ve chosen to ignore their constant harassment and why I’ve chosen my mental health over their constant arguments and fights with me. I don’t know what to do now as far as communication goes since I cannot tell who is reaching out to me. I get anxiety attacks just seeing the notifications. Amazing that people can find anything to use as a weapon to harass and disturb your mental health. Until there’s a way for the girlfriend to be blocked, I will not be using any of these apps but this app was great and I have nothing but great things to say about it. So thank you to the developers. Hope you can fix it to make it be allowed one phone number downloadable rather than email. Thank you

5/5Great app to expensive
this is a great app, I am annoyed on how the app demands payment from both parents to use the premium features such as video call recorder. That is $50 a month (25x2). The recorder is a great feature especially when one parent tends to be hostile and you need proof - hence why I am paying… Now I know how the couple I purchase my first home felt, when I low ball them on a deal because I knew that they were mandated to sell and I was the only buyer at the time. I needed a deal, they needed to sell… This app is amazing. I think the gov should subsidize the payments for families that really need it - for example anyone who has child support through the state where parent that owes claimed not working and yet they consistently cancel prescheduled video calls because they are working or say can’t talk right now I am making money…. But not pay a dime towards child support. Given my toxic baby mama I can’t list 100s of reason why this app is amazing… Bottom line - lower your monthly premium payments or here is an idea ?????…. Offer a settings where one can pass the bill on to other given we on this app because one parent can’t control themself… You want to video call and I need to record it for my protection. So you paying that bill… get it. Have the toxic parent pay feature!

1/5DON’T USE TALKING PARENT-NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT-WORST CO-PARENTING APP TODAY
This was a great app until it wasn’t. They have had significant upgrades that have made the app horrible, inoperable, and glitchy. Even worst is when you lose all your data and there is no phone number to call and they do not respond to the in app help. If you love your kid/s and depend on this data, DO NOT USE TALKING PARENT. Your entire case will evaporate and there is no one to help or that responds to in app request for help. It’s obvious their priority is their on-line reputation responding to every review quickly (look for yourself). WORST CO-PARENTING APP EVER. The Accountable Calling works when it wants and you my find all your calls gone and no one to help you. The picture function is now also broke where you once could attach photos very easily. Now if sends the same picture over and over even when you know you choose the right picture. The Calendar is useless. Our Family Wizard is much better and you can get customer support. It is very hard to change once you start. Make the right choice the first time with an ESTABLISHED business like Our Family Wizard. To add they also MAKE you sign new policies/rules under duress since you HAVE to sign it to stay in compliance with the court orders to get back into your account. Read them carefully because I would never sign or agree to any of those terms if I didn’t need back into my account to only find all my calls are gone and the new calls not captured. DO NOT USE TALKING PARENT IT IS THE WORST

I give this one star because initially when I got the service, it was horrible…its web biased interface is horrible. You can’t use the app unless you pay for the premium service. Half the time the app would crash or not send messages when you type them. They would just disappear. Couldn’t see archived content also. They finally fixed it after about two years just recently there was a 44.4% increase in the price. It went from $27 a month up to $39 a month. It seems like the company has now started to capitalize on the amount of coparents who can’t get along and can’t communicate normally. In my situation I don’t have a choice as this is court ordered. I choose to pay to hold the other parent accountable. the other parent recently can’t afford it. I think the price increase is crazy considering the users are already incurring the cost of attorney fees and court cost. Not to mention the app does not work as well as it should for the price. Fingers crossed for full custody🤞so I don’t have to keep paying for this trash app and the price. Willing to bet I get some AI generated reply to my review, it’s probably not even gonna be personable. Who knows🤷‍♂️

3/5too many glitches
ever since I downloaded the newest update, my app has been glitching like crazy. It continuously logged me out every time I open the app and at times I can’t even get notified since I’m logged out without even knowing. The app is consistently freezing or glitching to wear whenever I try to open the new message it lags and freezes for about a good two minutes before I can finally open up and see what the message was about. when I do finally get the chance to respond, the keyboard is so delayed that I have to finish writing my message and it takes about another minute for the message to still type through the app. Once the message is ready, then I can continue writing, but have to still wait again for the message to finish getting written. and randomly it will scroll up through the messages without being able to stop it or even close out back to the home page. and when i close out the app and try to reopen, it stays frozen to the messages page.

EDIT: Forgot to mention the extortion in charging PAYING users to PRINT records. Pure and simple greed to force upgrades. Has actually made co-parenting worse. The messaging UI wants to replace both email and SMS but is suited for neither. Doesn't do anything a free Gmail account can't do (including tracked voice, video, calendar, payments). ANY email once read is an "unalterable record" and fully court admissible, so bogus claim there.

Title: Holding vital data hostage after glitchReview: TalkingParents had an admitted outage on May 31st right before ending their free tier. This glitch blocked me from backing up my court-relevant co-parenting history. Support acknowledges the glitch but demands $95 for my data. Weaponizing platform failures to force fees is unethical. Unacceptable support. Fix this.

          "body": "I wish there was a way to limit the use of the person by telephone number instead of email. My sons father let his girlfriend download the app on her cellphone and now they both harass me. I never know who I’m talking to. Some days it’s her and some days it’s him. But they are both always attacking me. It’s mentally exhausting. I’ve stopped checking my messages, and he’s accused me with the court of ignoring him. So now that I have proof that the girlfriend has the app on her phone, I’ve notified the court so they know why I’ve chosen to ignore their constant harassment and why I’ve chosen my mental health over their constant arguments and fights with me. I don’t know what to do now as far as communication goes since I cannot tell who is reaching out to me. I get anxiety attacks just seeing the notifications. Amazing that people can find anything to use as a weapon to harass and disturb your mental health. Until there’s a way for the girlfriend to be blocked, I will not be using any of these apps but this app was great and I have nothing but great things to say about it. So thank you to the developers. Hope you can fix it to make it be allowed one phone number downloadable rather than email. Thank you",

          "body": "this is a great app, I am annoyed on how the app demands payment from both parents to use the premium features such as video call recorder. That is $50 a month (25x2). The recorder is a great feature especially when one parent tends to be hostile and you need proof - hence why I am paying… Now I know how the couple I purchase my first home felt, when I low ball them on a deal because I knew that they were mandated to sell and I was the only buyer at the time. I needed a deal, they needed to sell… This app is amazing. I think the gov should subsidize the payments for families that really need it - for example anyone who has child support through the state where parent that owes claimed not working and yet they consistently cancel prescheduled video calls because they are working or say can’t talk right now I am making money…. But not pay a dime towards child support. Given my toxic baby mama I can’t list 100s of reason why this app is amazing… Bottom line - lower your monthly premium payments or here is an idea ?????…. Offer a settings where one can pass the bill on to other given we on this app because one parent can’t control themself… You want to video call and I need to record it for my protection. So you paying that bill… get it. Have the toxic parent pay feature!",

          "body": "This was a great app until it wasn’t. They have had significant upgrades that have made the app horrible, inoperable, and glitchy. Even worst is when you lose all your data and there is no phone number to call and they do not respond to the in app help. If you love your kid/s and depend on this data, DO NOT USE TALKING PARENT. Your entire case will evaporate and there is no one to help or that responds to in app request for help. It’s obvious their priority is their on-line reputation responding to every review quickly (look for yourself). WORST CO-PARENTING APP EVER. The Accountable Calling works when it wants and you my find all your calls gone and no one to help you. The picture function is now also broke where you once could attach photos very easily. Now if sends the same picture over and over even when you know you choose the right picture. The Calendar is useless. Our Family Wizard is much better and you can get customer support. It is very hard to change once you start. Make the right choice the first time with an ESTABLISHED business like Our Family Wizard. To add they also MAKE you sign new policies/rules under duress since you HAVE to sign it to stay in compliance with the court orders to get back into your account. Read them carefully because I would never sign or agree to any of those terms if I didn’t need back into my account to only find all my calls are gone and the new calls not captured. DO NOT USE TALKING PARENT IT IS THE WORST",

          "body": "I give this one star because initially when I got the service, it was horrible…its web biased interface is horrible. You can’t use the app unless you pay for the premium service. Half the time the app would crash or not send messages when you type them. They would just disappear. Couldn’t see archived content also. They finally fixed it after about two years just recently there was a 44.4% increase in the price. It went from $27 a month up to $39 a month. It seems like the company has now started to capitalize on the amount of coparents who can’t get along and can’t communicate normally. In my situation I don’t have a choice as this is court ordered. I choose to pay to hold the other parent accountable. the other parent recently can’t afford it. I think the price increase is crazy considering the users are already incurring the cost of attorney fees and court cost. Not to mention the app does not work as well as it should for the price. Fingers crossed for full custody🤞so I don’t have to keep paying for this trash app and the price. Willing to bet I get some AI generated reply to my review, it’s probably not even gonna be personable. Who knows🤷‍♂️",

          "body": "ever since I downloaded the newest update, my app has been glitching like crazy. It continuously logged me out every time I open the app and at times I can’t even get notified since I’m logged out without even knowing. The app is consistently freezing or glitching to wear whenever I try to open the new message it lags and freezes for about a good two minutes before I can finally open up and see what the message was about. when I do finally get the chance to respond, the keyboard is so delayed that I have to finish writing my message and it takes about another minute for the message to still type through the app. Once the message is ready, then I can continue writing, but have to still wait again for the message to finish getting written. and randomly it will scroll up through the messages without being able to stop it or even close out back to the home page. and when i close out the app and try to reopen, it stays frozen to the messages page.",
