2/5Preset management is a buggy nightmare
The synth parts of this app are great and lots of fun. Would give that 5 stars, but when you start trying to save and manage your own presets the nightmare begins. The browser is horribly confusing and buggy when it comes to user presets. So many weird glitchy behaviors. There seems to be a fundamental very basic bug with how banks are associated with patches. The patches sort by name but don’t always reflect that. The lists have weird selection bugs where sometime multiple things show as selected and you can’t unselect. Hard to figure out how to delete an old version of a preset. When you do finally discover the delete option it seems like it can only delete entire banks? Also deleting a preset seems to delete all copies of it? Moving presets between banks is way harder than it should be. The UI lets you select and drag presets around. Great! But dropping them into different preset banks does nothing. Very frustrating to have hours of work on a preset ruined by weird deletion, sorting, and bank management behavior.

This is an outstanding sounding synth with a great UI. The inclusion of samples is awesome as well. All around an unexpected and impressive update and expansion to an all ready super VST. However, of note, the presets packs are not loading correctly from past purchases of SynthMaster player and SynthMaster one. Even with restore IAP nothing is transferring for me. So I just bought them all since I had several missing from one and player that said purchasing them in SM2 does not give you access to them in the older apps at present this is a disappointing implementation of presets

5/5*INCREDIBLE*
It’s hard to believe someone would give this synth a low-star review because they didn’t like some of the presets. This is not a rompler - this is the most powerful sound design tool on the iOS platform — on the level of desktop synths like Serum or Pigments; You can create nearly any sound you can imagine, with excellent effects and tons of modulation. I’m blown away!

Frankly I just began exploring it, and I’m quite new to this whole sound design thing, but I was on the lookout for a while now for something that could compete with the likes of Massive or Serum, and maybe we’re not there yet, but if You ask me, this monster here comes pretty darn close!!!🙌

4/5P solid all around!
FWIW this is one of the most complete AUv3 (I believe) synths out today. I like the parity bt desktop and iOS but I do not like how I cannot manipulate all macros while also using the virtual keyboard. It seems obvious to allow for that in the GUI somehow but perhaps there’s some sort of limitation related to multi-touch (chords + turning knobs and XY pad movement = ???). Would be nice of them to include key signature lock (always in key) mode to the keyboard as well. Perhaps I’m missing where that feature is.
