There are a number of new features in this release of SuperScore! • SuperScore files can now have a video attached—if supplied by the publisher. • When using a score in a Purchased Volume or a Collection, a swipe up or down on the score will open the next or previous file. • Full screen mode now persists when you move from piece to piece in a Purchased Volume or Collection. • The current Play mode now persists when you move from piece to piece in a Purchased Volume or Collection. • When using a QWERTY keyboard with the iPad, a long press on the Command key will bring up a list of currently available keyboard shortcuts. • Faster loading of the Store. • Improved system for delivering updates to purchased scores. In addition to various “invisible” improvements: • When there are markups on multiple pages of a PDF or SuperScore document and you choose the option to Delete All, you are given a choice of deleting all markups on the currently displayed page or all markups in the document. • The smallest viewing percentage is now 10%. (Previously, you could set the viewing percentage to near 0%, making it seem as though the music had disappeared.) Various improvements “under the hood.”

This version provides many changes "under the hood" that improve the current user experience and provide the opportunity for future enhancements. In particular, the playback issue involving sound on the iPad 2 has been addressed.

We have made 1 important bug fix that affects only users of SuperScore version 2. Please update to this new version!

This update features improvements to SuperScore’s concert grand piano. This beautifully detailed instrument was introduced with SuperScore version 2.0 along with a major upgrade to all of the General MIDI instruments. The improvements to the concert grand piano include support for incremental use of the sustain pedal and sympathetic string resonance. We have also supplied additional “under the hood” improvements to our industry-leading, liquid music display notation!

This version updates the performance of SuperScore’s internal tone generator so that it correctly handles pitch bend.

This version offers several subtle improvements to the notation display as well as cosmetic improvements when running in iOS 15.

SuperScore 2.0 is a major upgrade. This version features a new, concert grand piano as well as a substantially upgraded set of General MIDI instruments. Thus, MIDI playback using the internal TimeWarp GM synth is more nuanced and realistic. In addition, there have been improvements to the MIDI-based score-following, markups, and the look of the notation. Give it a try and tell us what you think!

Version 5.0.1 includes a maintenance update to the newsletter signup link. This update follows the major enhancements introduced in SuperScore 5.0, including iPadOS 26 optimization, improved multitasking and Stage Manager support, additional expressive instruments, playback improvements, score optimizations, and improved PDF import.

New sharing features make it easier to recommend music and open SuperScore content directly. You can now share links to a specific piece, a complete album, or SuperScore Music itself from inside the app. Shared links can open the correct piece or album in SuperScore on iPad, or take users to the appropriate TimeWarp web page or App Store page on other devices. This update also adds a convenient Rate SuperScore option in Settings.
