5/5Favorite app
Love this app, but have a question if you don’t mind. I went to look for the one I have SuperimposeX “NEO” to see the version history. I couldn’t find the “NEO” superimposex anywhere in the App Store. Did u discontinue that version? I actually think I paid for it also. Anywho just curious/wondering. Thank you for the great apps you provide us. Stay Safe Edit: June 25, 2020 I’m changing my 5 star review to 1 star because of the developers business practices. So I Purchased SuperimposeX NEO and it disappeared from the App Store, but I could still use it. Now the NEO version of SuperimposeX is changing to Pixanova with a yearly subscription? Btw I paid for SuperimposeX “NEO” and it’s exactly the same as the original SuperimposeX. What gives?! This developer is straight trying to rob and squeeze every last dollar out of us. UPDATE: 2 hours later, well…. I didn’t have automatic updates on, but my SuperimposeX “NEO” updated on its own for for some reason?! I guess the automatic update setting is just for show on iOS, but I digress. So far it’s not asking me to pay a yearly subscription…..yet….at least. Maybe the subscription is only for new users, but idk? I’m changing my review back to 5 stars because it is a great app. I’ll update again after I use the new “app?” Or is it just an update? Again idk? Bt, I have absolutely no problem paying for an app. I do have a problem with paying for a paid version of the app that is the same as the free version. Anyway, I’m still standing by what I said about the lack of integrity & shady business practices of this developer.

5/5Quick and easy and basically perfect
I've used this app since it was just Superimpose, over 5 years now, and no app has come close to how much I like this one. I use it for making funny little edits and memes for my friends and social media and it's perfect for casual stuff like that. I've even used it to help a couple friends edit professional or important pictures. Hair looks great in one pic, face looks great in another, outfit looks great in another, background looks great in yet another, and I'm able to combine them all into one perfect picture, typically in less than 30 minutes. I have an iPhone 12 Mini, so my phone screen is very small, and I'm still able to create great and realistic edits with just my fingers on a touch screen! I have no critiques but do have two recommendation I would put forth. One is that for the "distort" feature , you should be able to lock the parts of the photo you don't want affected by the distortion, as the "restore" function is a bit finnicky. The other is that for the "mask" feature, there should be a way to make your brush even harder, for when you're editing low quality photos and you want to keep those pixelated lines. But those are my only points! I love this app and it's absolutely worth the couple of bucks that it costs in my opinion!

5/5OUTSTANDING!!! Useful and feature-rich
I cannot give enough praise to the developers for this app! Intuitive user interface, supreme functionality and a plethora of useful features make it one of my top go-to apps in my ensemble of image editing tools. Thank you to the developers for really putting together an app that works great, is a pleasure to use and never disappoints! Your talents are noticed and appreciated. 😀ʘ‿ʘ —-====TO THE TERRIFIC DEVELOPERS:::: the canvas size is what the image itself, NOT including the content, should be resized to. So if I have a 300w x 300h image and I want to put more content below it, I might want to change the canvas size, (UN-linked proportionally) to 300w x 500h. This SHOULD ideally include a placement chooser as to where I want the existing image content to be placed; usually this includes the four corners and centered on any of the four borders. But in any case, the resultant image would have - again ideally - option to be a solid color or transparent, and the content taking up only its native size within the whole image. What this app does is treat canvas size as a non-freeform resize tool, just resizing the image 'by the numbers'. That is just resize, not canvas size! Please change this tool to properly function as the name should, because it’s very useful. Unless I am doing something wrong, in which case please do reply and let me know! If I’m right, then this is most likely not the first mention of this. Another request to the developer: PLEASE allow select all in the sessions page, and please allow us to disable “Are you really sure?” If I go to the effort of tapping the trash and then tapping Delete, I’ve made consecutive conscious steps, and don’t need a third confirmation! Thanks!

5/5Superimpose X is cracked for a phone app
I have been using superimpose and superimpose X regularly for about 7 years now, and I would use this over adobe photoshop at least 85% of the time. As an artist, it is incredibly convenient to be able to make super-quick edits on my phone before posting or sharing my work. Its also great for cranking out that group-chat specific meme in two minutes, before the conversation shifts to something else. The magic wand tool is phenomenal, and there are more than enough options to cover all my photo-editing needs. My only criticism is with the brush tools. For photo editing, like adding backgrounds, effects, or quick clean ups, this app is great. However, for digital painting, the brush tools are hot garbage. Using a stylus, the brushes feel wonky and hard to use compared to other programs like Krita or Photoshop. They are fine for circling stuff or adding notes to an image, but for actual painting, I wouldn’t recommend them. Changing the hardness/softness of a brush can be a little confusing, and there aren’t quite enough brush tip options for me. I think if the brushes got a rework, this app would be absolutely perfect for both drawing and editing.

1/5A subscription.. really?
I have been using Superimpose since 2014, and let me tell you, it has been my go-to app for photo editing for over a decade. It’s been the most reliable, easy-to-use tool in my entire app library—hands down the most used app on my phone. For years, it’s been my secret weapon for editing, creating, and unleashing my creativity. But today? Today, I was hit with a paywall. Out of nowhere, a paywall. Really? You’ve gone from being a dependable, user-friendly app to locking everything behind a paywall? Let me make this clear: I’m beyond frustrated. This app has been my favorite for more than 10 years, and to suddenly be told I can’t access the features that made me love it in the first place is infuriating. After years of loyalty, I am now supposed to pay for something I’ve used without issue for free all this time? It feels like a slap in the face to the long-time users who have supported you. You didn’t give us any heads-up, any warning that this was coming. You just casually decided, “Hey, let’s charge them now.” This is absolutely unacceptable for a once amazing app. You need to change this back and return the functionality we’ve come to rely on for free. If you think your users are going to stand by this ridiculous move, you are sorely mistaken. You’ve lost me, and many others, with this decision. You’ve essentially taken the one app that stood out above the rest and turned it into just another money-grab. This was an app worth recommending—now, I’m actively telling people to stay away. Fix this, or you’ll watch your loyal base disappear.
