1. 5/5Great Alarm

   Updated to reflect responsive developer and frequent bug updates. I love Super Alarm. It is aggressive, reliable, and highly customizable. It was definitely worth the sale price and I recommend it. However, it has some bugs (at least on iPadOS 17) that can make it incredibly frustrating: Example one: Say my iPad is off overnight. If I leave the house without completing my configured “missions,” turning on the device will make fog horn noises until I can scan a toothbrush, even if the alarm was set for 11 hours ago and I am now in the office. Offering a max duration for alarm sounds would fix this. (Update: This is still kind of an issue but I am used to it.) Example two: I tried the mission where I type a phrase. It worked until I finished the phrase. There was no submit button and “return” simply minimized the keyboard, I watched as the timer expired began blaring in my face and I was forced to reinstall the app to get it to shut up. A dedicated submit button in the UI may resolve a keyboard difference between iPad and iPhone keyboard. (Update: The issue is a trailing space automatically added after punctuation and has nothing to do with the app.) All in all, it’s a great app that I use every day. Thanks!

2. 5/5Great but one problem

   Updated to 5 stars because the dev's very responsive!! This is the best alarm app I’ve tried overall with some unique features and well designed interface. The voice briefing of the time and weather with each alarm is something I’ve never seen and I like it a lot. I’ve been more consistent waking up because I can disable snooze and have the wake up check keep me from just shutting it off. The problem is battery drain when using the widget that shows the next alarm. It absolutely eats through the battery. EDIT: I spoke to the developer and it seems like the app in general is a battery drain. However, they explained the app can be closed and still ring just fine if it's allowed in sleep focus or do not disturb. I have no issue with battery drain with the widget or app when it's closed. I hope they can improve the battery usage but at least there is a workaround!

3. 5/5Actually Works!!

   This app is AMAZING. I've tried so many different apps and this one never fails to get me up! Usually, I hit snooze and go back to sleep, but not with this one. Instead, I can select how many times I can snooze the alarm and the time duration of the snooze. This helps me a lot with getting up. It even has you do mini missions and if you don't do it before the time runs out, the alarm goes off again! The only thing I'd recommend is that you guys should make more missions free because the face ID doesn't really get me up and the math mission can get boring sometimes. For example, I would love you use the item scan because it actually forces me to get up an move around, unlike the math and face ID where I can just be in my bed the whole time and sometimes I'd scroll. Overall, it helps me get up, but please have more than only two free missions!

4. 5/5The ONLY thing that has worked!

   I’ve struggled with getting up for well over a decade now. My alarm would go off and I would always sleep through it completely or turn it off in my sleep. Understandably, living like this is not conducive to being a productive adult and was a bit of my pain for my light sleeper husband. A friend recommended me this app and I’ll be honest, my hopes were low. Nearly didn’t download it because quite literally nothing else has worked, and I tried EVERYTHING. Thankfully I did though, and this app truly does work! A big positive is it doesn’t feel annoying. It’s loud and interactive, but it somehow hasn’t given me the near-homicidal rage that other alarms have given me lol. And the best part has been the devs. I had an issue and they were so quick to respond, so polite, and went above and beyond to help me out. If you’re on the verge of losing your job, scholarship, relationship, or your own mind because you sleep like a drunken corpse; this is the app for you bud.

5. 3/5Great Alarm with Some Kinks

   Overall this alarm really helps me wake up, I love how many different wake up challenges you can choose from and that you can use more than one. However, I’ve noticed things that really don’t work well. One, when I shut my alarm off the night before, it still goes off in the morning and then because the alarm is not set it doesn’t let me do the challenges so it just keeps going off until I delete the app. That drives me insane. Two, if you use the snooze feature but limit it to a certain amount of snoozes, there are loopholes to continuously snooze and that’s not what you need from an app like this. Third, I have had this alarm go off at the wrong time before. I’d love to continue using this alarm, but I’d really like these issues to be fixed.
