  1. 1/5terrible system design

there are some serious design improvements that need to be made here. I tried to click on a PDF from the app, which redirected me to the browser. however, while in my browser instead of opening the PDF, it asked me to sign in even though i was already signed in from the browser. it wouldn’t let me sign in using password either. no matter how many times i signed in via email, it just redirected to the sign in page. if you’re going to redirect users to the browser, you need to keep track of the content they’re trying to see instead of endlessly rerouting them to a sign in page. Also if you’re allowing writers to upload PDFs and other documents, you need to have in app support for these documents if you can’t correctly redirect users to viewing these documents in the browser. This specific article would also only let me finish reading it within the app. What is the point of downloading the app if i’m going to be redirected back to the browser anyways?? You need to at least allow your users to fully access content from browsers while you fix all these problems. Don’t force people to download a bad product. At least they’d actually use your product if it was fully available on one platform. If i could actually access the content in any form, I wouldn’t be writing this review right now. The signing up process and the automatic subscriptions and forcing people to provide phone numbers are all terrible practices that I will leave out of this review for now. You all have some serious work to do on this product.

  2. 5/5Brilliantly executed!!!

The author has successfully demonstrated the ability to reach everyone without the need to use any adjectives or words to convey the intended audience. The writer is clearly determined to make the message non threatening or offensive and has achieved this goal. By making use of his ability to use language to make it appear as if everyone who reads it has the sense it is a personal request for them due to their own unique experience. He accomplishes this with the use of simple words & concepts portrayed as facts. In doing so, he avoids any potential for argument or debate. Quite the contrary, he has been able to achieve the daunting task of uniting his readers and without any warning or threats, engages all readers in the commitment to create change. I could be way off with his goal or interpretation of the desired outcome, and I probably am. In any event, it definitely invokes this urgency of an undeniable truth that we all need to accept responsibility if we want to avoid the inevitable demise of our country. Again, I have the unfortunate knack of reading things into a statement or book that have absolutely nothing to do with what the author had in mind. 🙄🙄🙄🙄Either way, I found it to be written in an engaging manner without any need to capture the attention of the reader. It’s presented as a simple and straightforward way that for me, hooks readers into a desire to keep reading and leaves them trusting the author and the information discussed. As a “wordy” writer who often loses the audience in either written or spoken language. It’s a challenge for me to stay on topic or perhaps to be clear about what the topic is. Any feedback is welcome and appreciated.

  3. 1/5horrible basic functions

I couldnt delete my own post. oh wait mabye it was a "note" or some other thing that is convoluted and impossible to aspertain what is going on. I had to delete my entire account and delete the app just because I wanted to delete one of my posts. I have no idea how to do it. some of the posts I made have a delete button on them and then others dont have a delete option on them. makes zero sense. just make it so people can do simple things if the app is supposed to have a simple design just keep it simple and not convoluted with total confusion when people post stuff. just upload the thing you wanna post then give people the option to delete those things. not have 6 secrect different options for posting with different settings that are all different. I couldnt even edit the post, i tried and instead of showing the text in the post it just showed a url of the post which I could not remove. makes everything confusing complicated and impossible especially for average people and I am above average in being able to understand and find out how to use applications. this app is obviously designed by some programmer whom is used to and designs weird confusing systems like coders are used to using instead of an average person which are the people who actually use this app. its not a programming app so stop using confusing misleading designs and just make the thing simple and easy to use like its supposed to be for the target audience

  4. 5/5Normal

Out of all the crazy when I listen to Medias Touch I feel like there is hope and normalacy. I so Enjoy the brothers and Popak. I can’t wait for Monday’s to catch up on the crazy that is happening. I was a non political Person before Covid, I was a sometimes voter and didn’t vote for Trump but didn’t vote for Hillary. I was that person who didn’t think my vote mattered so I just stayed home. Once Covid hit I was glued to the tv watching this “incompetent” president deal with this crisis and started consuming new and was appalled with Trump and his unwillingness to help the American people thru the pandemic. I votered for Biden and Harris, went o my first rally in hopes we could continue down this normal path and was devastated when Harris lost. Normal Lost and the insane convinced too many people to vote against themselves. I feel there are tons of people that are uninformed about this out of control president who is taking our country down a dark path. We need to get our youth involved in politics and critical thinking. Fox News should have to put a note at the bottom of the tv screen that they are an opinion show and not fact based because lots of people don’t realize that….News should not be in their name. I hope this is a wake up call and we can stop this train coming and change the direction of where we are headed . God Bless America. Thank you Medias Touch! .

  5. 1/5Like Substack, Hate this App

So this review is not about my feelings about the Substack platform. I am a user of Substack and a reader of Substacks, and I am a Substack publisher. Substack is great, this app is not. First of all I hate any app that tries to force me to use it. So if I have the app installed at all and I want to just look at something on stack on the web I can't it automatically takes me into the app. Why is that a problem? Because I have one account with Substack as a user and then a different account as Substack as a publisher and the app cannot keep the two accounts straight. It's not necessarily devastating if I post on one of the basketball accounts that I follow using my business Substack account you know it's not like I'm posting something illicit that I don't want anyone to know about me, but it's annoying that's not what that account is for. And then let's talk about being a publisher on that Substack app. It's extraordinarily cumbersome. I get duped into putting the app on my phone because if you're on your phone it's the only way that you can access Substack chat. But then basic publishing functions like writing and posting are unnecessarily difficult the interface is challenging and it's hard to remember where functions are. So I have once again deleted this app so I can just use browser based Substack. If they want people to use this app while they're on the phone, in my opinion, it needs to be significantly redesigned.

  3. 3/5

i put 3 stars only because giving any more would imply I fully comprehend how to use the platform. as far as I can tell, it's a place of thoughtful conversations. insite and intellect are quietly approved of and there doesn't seem to be a dick swinging contest.
